Most underrated boss videos. This is the third Ive watched today and all have got me through each boss within the next pull or two. Short and to the point. Thanks duder. 🙏
I found an another way. Used your way the first half. Summoned my tear on the second halfand let him do the hacking and slashing, and I used the rot dragon breath 2-3 times and while the tear is slashing away, I dodged and kept the attention on me while I was behind a piller.
Still can't beat that second phase. One hit and I am done and I have 45 Vigor! And I can't live through the first phase without my summons. This is so frustrating hahaha
whoevers mage u also can use great glinstone shard to make the first form rly low before spawning mimic tear. then finish him off and on the second phase let him attack mimimc tear while u get ready to use comet azur i got him on the first letter of his name with this and died (i have 11 vigor)
Just spammed rivers of blood, he died quick whilst focusing on my mimic. With an int/faith build , just melted him with sword of night and flame on with it's beam after 3-4 applications while the tailor ash kept him busy, my int and faith both being 80. Im on ng+2 Ithink, don't recall.
I don't get how you can "stay close" to this guy. He jumps away from me constantly....and if he isn't, it is because his near constant phase 2 AOE is somehow laying me on my back despite 111 poise on my part. I /am/ using Rot. I /am/ using Mimic Tear. This boss is wildly stupid.
jay dunna: posts 5 separate embarrassing maliketh 'cheese' videos none of which count as cheese actintuffgaming: actually posts a cheese strat thank you
It sounds like you're too directly behind the pillar. Move out around the corner just a bit more and it should work. On some runs, I'll have to run move around the pillar a little bit because he circles around to attack me but this method always works for me. I'm happy to help if you have any questions.
@@actintuffgaming thanks I'll try that. How do I get rotten breath to latch on and do damage over time? It just does like 100 damage and stops for me🤦🏻♂️
You've just gotta hit him with more of the rotten breath attack. Be sure you're holding down the button instead of just pressing it. If you do that and he still doesn't get inflicted with scarlet rot, adjust your position and do it again.
At the start of the second phase, there is a safe spot just outside the ring you can stand. He misses you with his first attack when he jumps in. Then you just walk up to him and beat the shit out of him, stun him, and finish him. Its the speedrun strat. This makes this fight so infuriating for me. Absolutely dumb when you fight him normally, absolutely dumb if you do this.
@@actintuffgaming No, no, not at all. You just drink a potion while walking back outside the ring ornament on the ground. It is just a couple of steps, walking speed while drinking a potion. His attack will miss every time. It seems to be 100% consistent. Then you can just walk up to him because his next attacks miss you if you are close. This is enough time for most weapons to get enough damage in to break him. It took me a a lot of tries on his phase 2. Then I did this once and just ... won? Was ridiculous.Cant find a good example on youtube, but im sure you can replicate this.
@@actintuffgaming Good luck! Id do it myself, but I dont wanna go there ever again. Maybe you will find some videos, I looked but I couldnt find the one that gave me the tipp. The usual speedrun strats just run right up to him into the center, which makes them walk past his first attack. That is not what I am referring to. Again, just to make this clear because I am really bad about expressing myself: I am not talking about the whole arena. I am talking about the ornamental rings on the ground. When the second phase starts, Malekith starts in the middle, right? And you spawn in somewhere between two ornamental rings. Chug a heal (or mana or buff) and walk a couple of steps away from him. Then you will see the "ring" ornament on the ground i am talking about. He will always jump at you and slice. If you walk, his slice will allign perfectly with the ring every time. Then he will attack a couple of more times. These attacks all miss you (probably? might need to dodge into him for the first?), giving you enough time to beat him up in melee with some attacks depending on your weapon, breaking his poise. After that, depending on level and gear, he should be almost dead. I hope this helps as a start point! It is incredibly stupid, so much so that it ruined the whole fight for me because it is so easy.
Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't remember my exact stats at the time but I know I mainly leveled strength and faith. More points in those than anything else by far. I think arcane was at 16. Vigor was maybe around 20? Mind was a little less than that, like 17? Dex was just enough to use the weapon. Didn't touch intelligence. Endurance was probably around 20. I learned my lesson and have since been including my build in all my videos!
On my second try, I got him down to 25% health using falling star beast jaw and it’s aow and banished knight Quite sure I will beat him soon Not feeling gaming anymore more today, mentally tired 😂 I liked the idea of staying close on 2nd phase, always works for bigger bosses
It's not patched. You have to hold the button down to hit him with a lot of rotten breath. The breath itself does very little damage but it inflicts him with scarlet rot which does a lot of damage over time.
