French Navy Helicopter shoots down Houthi drone in Red Sea

- The French Navy has used one of its helicopters to destroy a Houthi drone flying near commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
The aircraft was flying close to merchant vessels when it was spotted.
The destroyer then guided the helicopter to engage and destroy the drone with its machine gun.

The camera is auto locked to the drone while moving with heli then the drone suddenly splash but camera still predicting next movement. That's why we didn't see anything.

No its just a random recording they arent even engaging it in the video
For those saying "we don't see anything". We maybe don't see but we hear at 15 seconds "ready for opening" (gun door opening I guess) and starts shooting at 21 seconds. At 22 seconds we hear "Impact" (means he hit) then "Engine's down" followed by a "UAV splash". Spash in the military lingo means "destroyed".
That was a reconstructed video made to fit the soundtrack. They have video of a UAV being tracked but not one being shot down.
TH-cam probably insisted cutting destruction of an inanimate object due to too violent for our sensibilities

it is not
TGP pod or camera is usually using proportional Inertial tracking software. so once the UAV is destroyed, broken up, fell down, or just lost Point track. the camera just continued to its calculated future location. its hard to track something that moves 200-300 knots that stopped dead in a fraction of a second.
Notice the colour of the water changes at the "cut". We're probably looking at an explosion

@@abdiyusuf7598 well not really, the helicopter did not ram the drone. It shot at the drone. "The Houthi drone, which looks to be a “Shihab” or “Khatif” or “Samad”, was likely shot down with the 7.62m machine gun fitted aboard French Navy Panthers".
French navy doesn't have attack helicopter... they have specialised navy helicopter to track submarine, rescue people etc
They can be armed with torpedo, and 7.62 door machinegun.

There are several precision kits for the 70mm rockets that Apache , Cobra or Tigre can use
Additional there are 30mmm programmable rounds for the Apache and Tigre's

The helicopter uses a targeting pod/camera. The camera continued to follow the predicted route of the drone hence why it seems like its cut out
