idk if it`s true but doesn`t it seem that the subs fall a little bit behind? if you listen carefouly, it sounds like the bass is comming a little bit late. Horn type enclosure issue maybe with throath travel distance? Maybe it needs some delay on the SM`s.
As of now. I will only buy the Danley Sm80 tops. And use with Qsc Kw181 subs. I know they do not compare to danley th118. But, In the future I will buy the danley TH118.
How does this system fare with band work? The tops sound great at least on 64 ears. Never heard the subs, is it smooth low end or do they have the ability to go down & pound chests? With live kick & bass? Your thoughts on the sound quality of the s21 vs the Yamaha QL5? S21 sound better? Better mic pres? I’ve heard that touch screen takes a bit of getting used to.
@@tun3tym3 This system does extremely well with band work. In smaller capacity rooms/clubs you can scale back to two subs (1 per side) and barely push it. The subs get nice and low and thump. I am driving them with Linea Research / Danley DNA20k4 amps with (mostly) the manufactures DSP recommendations. The Digico S21 local pre-amps sound great. With that console you can use any of the Digico stage racks and have the same preamps as the rest of the consoles. They are very transparent. I believe all of them are transformer-less in their design. The QL5 is more capable but the S21 is more pleasurable (IMO) to mix on. For similar pricing as the S21 you can get an Digico SD11 or a used SD9. The SD series does everything.
im confused, was this a party? lol. I was expecting a good sized crowd when i read danley sm80 but... yeesh. lol Wish i had the money for a pair of sm80's.
David Bednarski - I know. The ear-plug gig or send the shop junior' "want to mix foh this weekend newbie?" 😉 shame dsp's don't have a fir shit filter yet 😉 Keep up the good work. Love your system
There seems to be a trend of people like you needing to bash someone else's joy while providing an event for someone.. What do you play for people at events? What the people want to hear!!! It doesn't matter if its HOT CROSS BUNS over and over again.. Its paying the bill.
Excellent system. Well worth the money! Output is astounding!

Impressive considering the subs aren’t even on a ground plane!
What's the frequency settings for the subs?
can i ask whats the sub driver specs? thanks.
Sure, the specs on the subs can be found here www.danleysoundlabs.com/products/subwoofers/tapped-horns/th118/
@@bnski man, this is sick! thanks.
Can you send me this song's name and link
Hello buddy, what kind of dsp processing where you using with the Danley Sm80 tops? Thank you
I am using the Danley (Linea Research) DNA 20k4 amp + DSP. Factory settings, seasoned to taste.
Can I get the same results from the Sm80 tops with a inexpensive amp?
DjSweet Lou most likely, the subs need the power.

Master Basser hah, it was a private (public) event, the promoter was expecting a larger turn out! 😂
haha if I were that promoter, I'd switch jobs immediately. poor fella.
I hear ya! It was a religious recruitment event on a college campus. Kids these days are too busy for the lord I guess!
At 61, I need to win lotto, blow up ID, MT, WA, OR. I know how. ALL DANLEY, ALL THE TIME. Maybe a few servodrives thrown in just cuz.
Insult to audio world and community to play that shithouse music through such beautiful speakers. What a waste. Eh.
Gotta pay for them somehow.
