Brooklyn has been building his dream bike for over a year now and it's finally finished and it's Insane! It has every titanium part possible and it is the lightest bike I have ever seen! He also got it custom anodized and we have the titanium finishing professionals at our shop to explain to us just how they achieved this one of a kind bike! - บันเทิง

I wish I was like that, I barley learned how to manual in the past few days and before that I gave up for five years after I bought my new bmx from Scotty’s store, I had it for two months gave up and it’s been about five years now I’m getting told I’m to old to do it cause I’m 19 so I have even more discouragement than I already did been thinking about sellin the bike for cheap

BK has to be the number one BMX bike builder of this generation, he is the most innovative part selector and by far has the best taste in part design choices and colour, I'm always infuriatingly jealous every time I see a new BK build. 👏🏾👌🏾

No guy besides Scott has shown us how strong a person can be like you have on the channel, not in a while at least. No disrespect to the other legends we've seen a long while ago like mad dog or Stephen Murray, they count too, but I digress, keep on doing your thing, BK. You're priceless and couldn't ask for a better person to regularly be on the channel besides you and the other regular boys.

@@howiegruwitz3173 All those people building bike frames out of titanium with blow torches in their garages. I know what anodized metals look like, good old acid baths and whatever else, but I’ve never seen a frame look like that. It’s extremely unique in the finish, but also the fact that the build is mostly titanium and carbon fiber. I get what you mean, but saying it isn’t unique as a bike build is kind of just taking the piss.
They are all awesome I gave up five years ago about two months after I bought my bmx from Scotty’s shop and decided a week ago to try again barley learned how to manual and can almost do a 180 it’s more like a 170-175 right now but I was told I was to old to ride a bike and had a lot of discouragement from it and I didn’t think I was cause I’m only 19, but I’ve been thinking about quitting for good
@@Crash.7434 don’t quit! Just do what makes you happy! When it comes to biking, whether it be bmx or mountain biking, trails, road biking, whatever… the only limit is what you set for yourself
@@howiegruwitz3173your clueless. You have ANY idea how hard it is to heat things like Aluminum or Titanium? They dissipate heat rapidly making it extremely difficult unlike color(heat) treating stainless steel. This process is nothing like taking a torch to Ti 😊

Titanium is oxidized (loss of electrons) to TiO2. The thickness of oxidized layers, changes the color that's refracted (angle of light).
Just like Rust, which is slow process of oxidizing iron Fe2O3.

Very cool i also work in a production place doing milling and packaging the reason factories like to not say too much about the details is so other manufacturers dont steal their process ideas

Rad looking frame. Ti changes colors with heat like motorcycle exhaust. You can set up anodizing in your garage in coolers but its not super easy. Prep the parts well but then the power supply requirements and how you hook it all up. Dye and time in tank take some practice. It can be done though. Years ago i helped set one up in 5gal buckets and got some good results. It is controlled oxidation.
You don't use dyes with titanium. You use dyes with aluminium.
@@bmxriderforlife1234 true. I never said to dye Ti but i can see how its not clear. What i used the at home kit for was aluminum.

You guys should look into salt water etching and make custom badges for yourselfs! It takes like 6 to 8 hours to rust away the image but it's pretty cool and easy to do. Get a rectifier, plastic container(I was using cereal containers) and some brass stock and toner paper and your good to go

If you want to try more anodizing I would look up the baliscissors series by contraption collection. It has some anodizing and lots of machineing for Matty!!
