    For the 2 component reactor, it does still work, you just need to modify the output values. change the regex to somewhere between 12-25 and the greater than 50-80. Each sub and reactor on it is slightly different, you will need to fine tune it to find the sweet spot. Be sure to grab a fire extinguisher as well when you test it out ;)

      As someone who doesn't know when to know it's working properly, what numbers or ranges are you shooting for on fission rate and turbine output? Are you trying to always get it to 100 on the turbine and averaging 15 on fission, or are you looking at another metric to know when it's set right?

      Thats also a bad design. With "Wall" mode motion sensor you can make a fully automatic efficient autorepair system

      The dev nerf to the ground reactor controller but they didn’t predict me. I created a new reactor controller that just change the fission rate and put the turbine output to 100 so with 4 fuel rod the fission rate don’t change a lot like max by 10. It make so that the reactor react really fast but it consume more fuel.

    Regexfind still works, just getting the expressions right can be a pain. For the fixfoam grenade, you could also use a water detector with level% or dangerous pressure as the 1 output, so it triggers in real emergencies even if there's no one to push the button. Plus, it would trigger as needed and not all at once.

      @@1000-THR I would suggest you stick to the barsuck for a while. it took me a long time to move to bigger subs and even longer to start using the sub editor, so don't worry too much about it. Just enjoy the game, there's a lot to learn and do!

    TLDR: 1. increase reactor output for more speed
    2. connect more water pump rooms to the ballast controls
    3. place foam explosives connected to a button for emergency repairs

    If you are wondering why it isn't working for you, the Bang-Bang controller does not work as well since the 'hoist the sails' update. It's still viable if you are willing to spend a lot of time tweaking values & putting out fires to find out what works for your sub, but it isn't a magic wand any more, & doesn't seem to work quite as well as before even if you get it right. The Ballast tank thing still works tho.

    2:53 hell naw, I DID do this with the Barsuk in that small compartment on the forward end of the sub. Pump speed was abysmal 🤣 so I added a mod that lets you craft/buy sub components and added two extra pumps: BOOM, third ballast tank on the Barsuk.

    For the emergency repair, it could would take more wiring but you could potentially hook up the detonators so the captain can just remotely activate them by ship section. It might also be possible to use those water detectors to have one auto-trigger when the hull is breached and the compartment fills if you're able to put the water sensor up off the floor.

    i would love to see more of these wiring diagrams ! because i have a workshop ship modded a little in the sub editor got more lights that i can use it as a scout and now my diving airlock has 2 more lamps but i dont get the wiring done i dont know how to wire this 2 lamps to one switch inside of the airlock.... this is a shame for me as a mechatronic engineer... but maybe i think to complicated how to connect it properly love your videos !

    aside from the emergency repair system, i mostly just add a battery to one of the JB, that loops back to the power grid. even though it says low power, when starting engine from idle, it’s just a fraction of a second and it doesn’t really affect performance.

    Is there some sort of guide that can break down the complexities of wiring as a whole into digestable material so I can teach myself how to manipulate all this and create my own ideas on my ships?
    Definitely gonna be adding some buttons for the captain and crew, thanks for this!
    We have a very chaotic clown who is addicted to alien blood and this will help more than you may know haha

      What I did for my submarine was look at vanilla submarines' wiring (mainly dugong) and see how their wiring worked, then I just sort of copied it (without the organization...)
      It worked fine for the most part, it does everything you'd need a submarine to do, but It's extremely bare bones, don't know if I'll post it to the workshop

      This is because your running the reactor hotter, the controller setup is designed to be able to give you more power overall and allow you to use more rods.

    Portable Pumps can also provide a good way of getting rid of water quickly. Multiplayer Only: Let somebody tinker with the engine

      Works on all subs, just needs modifying the regex and greater than components output, to fit the subs reactor output.

    Im using kastrull sub why it still have power issue when i move the submarine?

      It's a big sub, it has power balance issues running things at the same time. an auto reactor will help mitigate this.

      @@Arr1veGaming Yes, so the new update changed the output of turbine and temp, there is a delay now. If you put the regex output down at 12-20 ish then the output of the greater than around 70-100, you will need to test it. You should be in a range that can support the delay. Each sub is different, but hope this helps.
      p.s make sure to have a fire extinguisher on hand when u start modifying ;)

      a very minor amount is, as the reactor will go into overheat mode periodically, but it's basically the same manually increasing the output. Bascially you won't notice it.

      yep, just needs some modification to the regex output, set it at around 12-20ish then the output of the greater than between 80-100 you will need to figure out the sweet spot as each sub is diffrent

    2 component auto reactor doesn't work that well anymore since a nerf in the last update,
    emergency repair system anyone can put c4 in your detonators or detach the detonator and place it with explosives anywhere they like. Letting detonators ever be within the public's reach is a hazard.

      True about the detonators, but then again, a troll will do anything in public so detonators or not things will descend into chaos.

      @@IronicandDead if you put the greater component to 50-80 you will not be able to use 100% of your reactor output and if you don’t put 4 rods with the reg ex and you change the out put to 12-25 you won’t be able to produce enough heat to use 100% of the reactor. So regex is easy fix just put 4 rods but the greater component sound like a bad idea.

      Personally I created a 7 components controller by my self. It work really well. The idea of it is to set the turbine output to 100% and only change the fission rate and put 4 rods of fuel. Like that only the fission rate need to move and usually only between 12 to 24 so it reach the valu that you need really fast cause it don’t need to move a lot

      The regex command is ^[1-4]?.?.?.$ , there isn't a list per say, more just how regex works, you can google specifics. For the Orca 2, try setting the regex output to 20-30 ish and the greater than component somewhere between 70-90, you will need to adjust for wiggle room.

    Well you just go in the editor, load in the sub you want to modify, select the engine and set the force to 1000000000000000000000 and load out the submarine the way you want and set the buy price to the lowest possible (1000mk). And bam, next station, your dream submarine is there.

    A little clickbaity no? Decreasing the reaction time of the engines doesn't increase your max speed, only your initial acceleration. So, how exactly did you make the sub go 50 knots without upgrading the maximum engine force? Downvote.

      Hey there, thanks for the feedback, just to clarify a few things, I never said it increased the max speed forwards. The additional ballast tanks are where you get the improvement to the base speed for the decent of the sub, hence you make your submarine go faster.
      For the engine forwards speed there is no improvement to the base speed, however as there is a reduction to reactor reaction time, there are no drops in performance as the engine is dependent on power. When you have the fabricator, deconstructor and medical fabricator all running at the same time you get power drops and the engine stops working.
      This means your time from point A to B will be faster with the reactor upgrades. Not that your engine base speed will be faster.

      *Also this was recorded before the talent nurfing of tinkering, and the submarine did already have full upgrades purchased from a station.

      It *literally* does not go faster, other than in the y, those were good points. The reactor spins up faster, meaning you don't drop load, and it accelerates faster. I suppose you could make an average x-velocity argument, but thats not what you said.
