And so...its finished 😢. I think I am feeling more emotional about the end of this journey than the game itself made me feel when I first played it. Gheppeto dying in the end didn't bother me at all. I felt the dirty rat had it coming after making me do all his dirty work. Giving him your heart gets you the worst ending. I won't spoil it for you in case you want to play again, but after I beat it the first time I watched all 3 endings on youtube. Needless to say I chose the ending you got (the best ending) on both of my playthroughs! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Like everyone on here I waited in anticipation for your next post! I'd love to be part of your next journey, it will kinda depend on what you choose to play, but I do enjoy the way you carry yourself as you stream. Wishing you and yours the best. Glad I was part of the Berserkr Club.
It is- hard to believe isn't it? So many hours of playing, editing, and chatting with you it's almost hard to comprehend it's finished, and I'll be honest it's a bit emotional for me as well. The game for sure, but also the journey we shared together. What is lifting my spirits is the DLC coming out and I can't wait to have you join me for the continuation of the story. I think the reason Geppetto dying affected me so much is that as a father, and especially as I've gotten older I've kind of become a sap for emotional father-child scenes like this with the father dying- his apology and P's tears really got to me lol. Even with everything he had done I was in some way really hoping there would be some redemption for him. Glad to know this was the best ending. I may also watch the other endings as I'm not sure when I will do ng+. Probably not before the DLC. THANK YOU so much for sharing in my journey SirenSong! It has been truly amazing and I can't tell you how much it means to me you have been with me for the ride. As much as you anticipated my next episodes I was equally excited to see your comments and thoughts every week. It felt like we were all one small but mighty Berserkr Club family. My next series will be Black Myth Wukong until the DLC comes out, so if you would like to check any of those out it would be wonderful to stay connected with you. I would like to increase my episode output to two a week if I can, but will see I guess haha. Until the next one my friend, be sure to take care of yourself and make the most of every day. Cheers!
THANK YOU Lulu for joining me on my journey! It's right up there as one of my favourite games now as well. My improvement was slow and sometimes spotty but I had a great time learning and progressing. That you enjoyed watching it all is wonderful to hear and I appreciate you taking the time to join me on my adventure. I'll be playing Black Myth Wukong next if you are at all interested in that series. until the DLC for Lies of P comes out- I can't wait! Until then take care and have fun- cheers!
Loved the ending, where you intentionally put the 'teaser', perfect finish (not finish?) to the series ;) Good job on the Nameless Puppet. He's by far my favorite boss of the game. He actually made me think quite a bit after my first time defeating him. The Nameless Puppet is a perfect example for me, how a boss can be designed to have multiple 'weaknesses', but still be incredibly difficult. Depending on the weapon choice or your play style he is not always the same obstacle. However, when I first encountered him, I was quite frankly flabbergasted. The reason is, that I was (with the exception of Laxasia and the Swamp Monster) quite honestly just running through the game. I had not checked like 50% of the shops or tools available to me, so I was utterly stuck. I didn't even know about the perfect block grindstone. And this is probably my only critique at the game. The difference in difficulty is just a little bit all over the place. Of course it depends on the player, but I think it would have greatly benefitted player experience/development, by making some bosses actually require (or show big weakness to) certain grindstones. Just to tell the player that - hey - actually you should pay attention to the tools available to you. Anyway, the game is a solid 9/10 for me and I will gladly try &play any DLC or continuation of it. Have a good time and I will see what you will be posting next time :)
Awesome- so glad you enjoyed it SlowNot :) Love teasers haha. Thank you so much! I'm with you, the Nameless Puppet was incredibly difficult, but very cool as his move sets seemed to be a mixture of Laxasia (phase 1 and 2) and Romeo- some of the most difficult boss phases for me which made him a perfect closing boss for the game imo. I can't believe you checked only 50% of the shops and tools available and you still managed to get through the entire game- I'm so impressed, even more so that you did it without the perfect block grindstone- which in the end was my saviour haha. The difficulty was a bit random I'll agree. It was a bit experimental to know the boss weaknesses, except maybe the puppets that the game was pretty good I think of setting up that they were weak to electric shock. Agree it would have been better if they had made that more clear. What also surprised me was the difficulty of some of the non-bosses, and mini-bosses that seemed almost as difficult as some of the bosses haha. I thoroughly loved this game from start to finish and I feel like it didn't have any lulls which I have found with some other games. I can't wait for the DLC and will be playing through it on my channel and would love to have you join me. I've decided that my next series will be Black Myth Wukong until the DLC comes out. I know you mentioned you would probably be skipping that one which is totally cool. Just want to add that this play through has been an amazing journey and it means so much to me that you joined me and took the time to post your comments and thoughts through it all. I've really appreciated your support, tips, and encouragement SlowNot- it's been invaluable- THANK YOU! Until the next one- cheers my friend!
Episode 32: A.great episode for the final one with a sad and moving ending. It was hard not to get emotional as the end of the game neared and I realized it was over. I have enjoyed all of your episodes - it's been a real experience since I'm just starting to get into the video game world. I'll look forward to playing through with you on your next adventure. It's been a wonderful journey playing along with you - thank you for a most enjoyable ride!!!
Vinny! We did it! We finished Lies of P :) So glad you enjoyed it! The ending was sad and moving and it was certainly a bit emotional for me as well knowing it was the end of the game. There is a DLC coming which I am looking forward to playing through which does make me feel better. I really appreciate you joining me on my journey Vinny, it's been wonderful to hear you thoughts and feedback on my episodes. Look forward to having you play along on my next journey. Until then have a great weekend! Cheers!
What a journey! It’s a sad ending but also beautiful story telling! Good job on the bosses, the Nameless Puppet is no joke! On my first playthrough I couldn’t beat him and after 2 days of trying I gave up and gave Geppetto my heart. The ending I got was really dark.. On my second playthrough a couple months later I took my revenge haha. That time I beat him and got the “good” ending. It was really fun to watch your journey of Lies of P. Thanks again for sharing it! I’m curious what game you will play next! Have a good weekend!
What a journey indeed! Haha. It was a bit of a sad ending, but the story telling and the whole game if I'm honest was amazing. Thank you! The Nameless Puppet was certainly no joke, and that the game didn't give anyone the option of a specter to get through it definitely made it even more of an obstacle. 2 days of trying- wow you gave it your best! That they allowed people to give their heart at the stargazer I thought was a nice option- without it there would have been no ending for anyone stuck on this boss, which would have been even more sad than the ending itself lol. That you got your revenge on the next playthrough is fantastic- well done!!! THANK YOU for watching and joining me on my journey LelaShaw! It was a ton of fun and I really appreciate having you along with me. Your support and encouragement were invaluable- THANK YOU! My next series will be Black Myth Wukong. If you're interesting in checking out any of the episodes it would be awesome to stay connected with you. If not, that's cool. I'll be adding the DLC for Lies of P to my series when it comes out so it would be great to have you join me for that journey. Until then take care and be sure to enjoy life to the fullest. Cheers!
I will definitely be there when you gonna play Black Myth Wukong. It’s a good game to watch others play it! Luckily the ps5 version is performing good! I didn’t pick up the game yet I wanted to first play Star Wars Outlaws and having fun with that one! See you next week playing Wukong 😁👍
Yeah I think Simon's fight (specifically the 2nd phase) has a lot of shit going on but aside from that he's... raather manageable 🤣 at least in my experience Great job on both bosses!! I think I definitely needed significantly more tries with the Nameless Puppet 😅 And yess, he was the 2nd boss I mentioned where the Perfect Grindstone really came in clutch for me 👌 I really like the story and all the drama and tragedy, and when the Nameless Puppet snaps/... and screams in the cutscene to the 2nd phase 🤌🤌 I just love the rage and pain and overall emotionality of it all, and I guess the psychology behind it in general. Idk, I just love such scenes 😅 And yes, the ending is very tragic. I mean, the whole story is, really (which is also why I like it so much xD). And although Geppetto dying is certainly tragic, I think it's for the best, considering what he's done and what he still wanted to do. He never loved nor viewed P as his son, despite always claiming he did, and it took the Nameless Puppet trying to destroy P's heart and P crying to finally make him realize that he has inherited a lot of Carlo's memories etc. (while, I think, having also become his own person, ofc). Still, Geppetto also became important to me, so him dying also made me rather sad despite everything 😅 I haven't started NG+, and I got the same ending. But I have watched videos of the other two endings, which I recommend doing if you wanna. I think this ending is the best, in the grand scheme of things 😅 I'm really looking forward to the DLC, too! Can't wait to play it, and watch you play it =) It's gonna be a bit unusual now that you finished the game xD I mean since, before every Saturday, I was like, 'Another episode will come out, can't wait to watch it 👀', haha Ofc I'll stick around to see what else you'll do ^^ This has been a great journey :D thank you for playing, editing, uploading, and chatting! And what a nice ending of the video 😌 This game really is close to my heart 🩵 And cool that you found the letter and the piano piece at the end :) Reminds me that I learned that piece on the piano, I gotta practice it again since it's def been several months 😅
Awesome cubcaketv! Sounds like you and I had almost the same experience with Simon :) Agree, in his second phase there is absolutely a lot going on haha, but with a little luck I managed to pull it off in what I think is my least amount of tries on any of the bosses- who would have known. Thank YOU! Nameless Puppet was very difficult, but again I think luck was on my side on my last attempt as I was close to biting the dust haha. And thank you for the tip on the perfect guard grindstone, that also helped save my bacon on his flurry of attacks in the second phase. Drama and tragedy is a good description of the Nameless Puppet section and one I will remember for a long time. The whole story was amazing and I really love how it was told throughout the game- it made me really get invested in the characters and care about them, not an easy thing in a video game. I agree it was best for Geppetto even with all that he had done but as a father myself the final realization for him and P with the tear really touched a nerve and made me sad. I've become a sap for father-child emotional scenes haha. I will have to check out the other ending videos, as it might be a while before I do NG+. Can't wait for the DLC as well- should be a blast and would be amazing to have you along for that journey. It is a bit strange to think this series is finished for now, but looking to fill that void with the next series which will be Black Myth Wukong to make me feel better. Going to try and stick to my Saturday schedule but would like to post more than once a week if I can, guess I will see lol. It has been a great journey and I can't tell you how much it means to me for you to have been with me right through to the end. I appreciate your support and encouragement which has been so wonderful- THANK YOU! Yes, found the letter and the piano piece in my last sweep of the hotel before signing off. You learned how to play that piece? That's fantastic- I'm very impressed! If you check out my next series I'd love to hear from you again, or if you wait for my DLC playthough that's totally cool. You're amazing cupcaketv and I really hope you have an great week. Cheers!
@@berserkr 1st of all, sorry for the late reply 😅 And yeah, it do be like that sometimes 🤣 in my opinion, Laxasia and the Nameless Puppet were the toughest, and Simon in between seemed _almost_ a little easy in comparison haha You're v welcome :) and I def know the feeling, but don't discredit yourself, you've got skills! Yeah - I understand you :') I mean, maybe not 100% since I'm not a parent, but they've really touched my heart, too. I don't know yet whether it's simply because of how well the story was conveyed or also because I, too, have grown fond of parent-child relationships in media, but yeah Have fun if you do :) and yeah I'll def be there!
