VacaCon artist alley has been on my radar for a few years, but I never thought to do it because it's far away and only one day. But an opportunity arrived and in a matter of three days, we decided to try it out! And to say I'm shocked by my artist alley profit, for a small one day convention, is an understatement! The only downside was that the artist alley was placed outside, where it was very hot and sunny (and windy!), but I would love to do this show again!

I feel ya, girl. I just booked a Harry Potter convention in July and the main shopping area will be outdoors. I am so glad the organizer gave me the option to get space indoors though. A large chunk of my products are candles and wax melts and July in this region of Germany can be hot (high 90s °F in the shadows easily)... I'd be worried for the candles to just nope the eff outta there if I had to keep them in direct sunlight for 8-10 hours... 😅 Only downside is that I worry to not get many customers if most of the shopping is located outdoors...

I’m glad you fought to be indoors! I don’t know what it is with places planning outdoor events during the months they know are hot… But I’m sure customers will still find their way indoors, if only looking to cool off!

😍 the lighting was so pretty outside but yeah stressful with paper things especially ❤ but to be honest as a patron it feels loads better to be outside in a large crowd than inside especially with kiddos 😊

It was a beautiful day, if you weren’t standing in the direct sun! I wouldn’t mind being outside again if there were better coverings for us, but the wind was tricky!
