i’ve been selling at ani-me since 2018, had no idea the AA channel i subbed to for great convention reviews was at the same con!! ty for the goodie bag at every booth. my table partner bought your froggies :-) the convention is very small, but you def get people coming back every year who remember your work, so it’s very fun to do
It's really interesting the difference in stamp rally cultures between countries. In Australia our stamp rallies are primarily "pay an entrance fee" at the host table and go around to all the tables to get a stamp. Yes, since it's not a requirement to buy a certain amount at each table they may not make as many sales but participants still often buy at each table. But it means we can do a wider variety of stamp rallies and also have a lot more stock bc the numbers will cover production cost easily enough. And lets us do really BIG stamp rallies (I once co-hosted a stamp rally with 30 artists that had an $60-100 entrance fee depending on which tier you got haha) I wanna do table at more international conventions this year so it's fun to see how different countries handle one of my favourite aspects of artist alley.
Amazing job, Ashley!!! I would have responded to this earlier but I was at Animarathon working my first Artist Alley by assisting my friend to see if I could do Artist Alley and I had such a blast doing so. The pie chart is beautiful
@@LeSpiritDesigns oooh, do they not have a setting to always be on? I got lights that do that but theres settings to keep them all the time (gotta hold down the power button til the setting changes)
I was curious to see your review for this con. It's great to hear that you did well. I'm an artist, but was in the vendor section myself. I've been disappointed by Ani-Me Con since my sales have been down these past two years. This year was the worst by far. A lot of the attendees just didn't seem like they wanted to spend money. Most of my sales came from items $5 or under. Some people even told me that spending $10-$15 was too much for them. Luckily I still made a profit and the fact that I'm a local saved me money. To top it off, I also got sick from an attendee on Saturday and am still recovering in bed a week later. I did go ahead and sign up for next year. I'm going to try diversifying my inventory options more. If sales are still just as bad or worse next year, I may have to drop this con altogether. I hope that I won't have to though as I still love this little local con.
I’m sorry it wasn’t a good show for you! There are definitely a lot of things I wish would change about this show that I think would benefit the vendors, but the market in Fresno is also a very tricky one 😭
Ashley, your hair looks fantastic.
Ryan, your poncho is everything.
HAHAHA his friend brought it back from Ecuador! He’s been wearing it every chance he gets 😂

I always love finding more local people! You’re very welcome for the goodie bag, I’m glad they were a success~

Oh that is super interesting! I wonder how a rally like that would go over here 🤔
Booths get better everytime. Great job
Thank you!!
Love that you're getting some gaming in. You work so hard, you deserve it. No regrets!
It has been sooooo nice!
I'm glad the stamp rally went well! :)
Me too!!

Thank you!!
Super fun and cool.
🥰🥰🥰
Booth looks great! Love the lighting! Also the square terminal is so good! Really worth it since you do lots of cons every year :D
I don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner!! And thank you, I just wish the lights would stay bright- they dim out after a few minutes for some reason 😂
