Casting from the pier can be tough, especially in those conditions but your perseverance payed off! Always a great feeling. Stay safe and tight lines, Andrew!
A few years ago a buddy and I were fishing Ontario in Rochester. My buddies first cast was the longest cast I've ever seen, except that he had just put new line on his reel and forgot to tie it off and he cast every foot of line off his reel.
Great video, just found your channel. I tried casting from shore in few places 1 well known one(port credit, which more resembled a zoo with so many people there). Any pointers on finding good sport to cast from shore, does it have to be a river estuary? I am mostly interested in trying to catch a Laker since I never caught one before. Do they move close to the shore when water is could enough?
Not really, I believe these fish are just over sand, I've been out with my kayak too and never marked any significant structure really. Just keep casting!

You are hardcore angler to the bone fishing in those conditions. I’m glad you were rewarded with a nice fish. Well done my friend.
Thx Adrian! It was a wild, wet day. I was trenched.
Short and sweet, nice Laker pal! Thanks for sharing!

Man that weather, but congrats on a nice fish.
It wasn’t pretty! Thanks!
Great job Andrew you stuck it out in that rain most people would of left running. I got some great ideas for content, we'll talk soon.
Ok, let me know!
Always, always amazing videos!!
Glad you like them!

Love this!!!
Beauty! I wish I have lakers near me!
No doubt, at least you aren't too far off from the kawarthas. Looking forward to chasing some muskie with you this summer.
Amazing
Thanks
Nice Laker!
Thanks!
Love this. Question do the fish survive after releaseing them. Where I come from we keep what we catch and eat it too.
Yes they do survive. Sometimes the same fish can be caught more than once, years apart if handled well. Where are you from?
Nice laker!
Thanks!!

Yes, they do!
Not the best conditions to be fishing but you can’t catch them if you don’t go good job and stay safe out there
You’re 100% right with that one.
How deep is it where yiur baits are when your casting like 10ft?
Yeah around there. It's not very deep.
Got any advice in terms of depth/type of contour when fishing from the shore
