My friend and I used them as frisbies in the back yard. To this day you might still find some out there that where stray. Every time we would go to Walmart they would have stacks of that and "Wal-Mart Connect" we bring home a ton and just destory them.
Is that a 5-inch color TV perched high atop the decommissioned pool table? And I see the FS200 finally got its share of use again. Electronic dance music is intended to have a consistently high tempo to keep people on the dance floor and to enable DJs to blend together different tracks seamlessly, so that's why it all "sounds the same". I wasn't going to complain about the fonts until I noticed that in the closing credits, "rn" (as in "Carnel") is indistinguishable from an "m", at least when viewing at 360p.
***** I was going to ask about that same TV untill I scrolled down to find that someone had already asked about it. It looks surprisingly ALOT like an RCA 16-3000. Does it have analog? I noticed the front didn't have the digital tuning buttons but it would be interesting if you could possibly send a picture of the set, or even better; the model number?
Loved the movie, Bill! I'm easily amused as well so I'm chuckling right along with ya, buddy! I have a few Dell Dimensions lying around in my collection of computers, one that I gutted out and put a different Core 2 Duo board in so it's a hyper computer in a modest looking case. lol
This is probably the best movie I have ever seen. The production value is incredible! I never thought the Dimension 4600 could pull the roll off so well! I will forever lable this movie as a classic and make my children grow up with it.
9:14. Well....not in my case. I once picked up a Dell Dimension 3000 from my local neighborhood dumpster back somewhere in 2015, and it had a blank over the floppy drive opening. When I turned it on and booted into Windows XP, I saw a 3 and a half inch floppy drive listed in the devices with removable storage section in My Computer. Sure enough, when I took off the face-plate, I saw a floppy drive, hooked up and all. So out went the blank. Kind of a surprise.
i have the set of speakers shown in the picture, or very similar with the 2 satellite speakers and the woofer. it came with a dell dimension 3000 which i have as well but i am not using them on it.
I have a box that supposedly contains a light kit for a vintage ceiling fan I bought years ago. The box has been sitting on a shelf in our workshop of sorts for almost a year now. Maybe I should do this with said box. That might be a good way to blow off some of my boredom as a result of sitting in the house since March.
Sometimes the cheesy movies are the best. Very enjoyable! sorry to hear of your loss. 101 is quite the lifetime! Reminds me of a gentleman I knew many years back. He was a World War 1 Vet, and the only one I knew that was. He was very grumpy at times, but also likable. He passed at the age of 99.
I used to have a Dell Dimenson 4600, but it's motherboard suddenly died. I never got it fixed and threw out the PC. Apparently, there were several complaints about motherboards dying on them.
And oh, how those Labtec speakers you have bring back memories of when I was back in grade school. I never knew some of them had a battery compartment. Does those run off AC power too?
Could've sworn I commented on this video so at some point... Pretty sure the the furhead picture is from your Unicom Models M keyboard video. My 3.4ghz Pentium D'elinquent ran Windows 7 like a dream (Still miss that machine)
Bravo, sir, an excellent movie! I've been mulling over an idea for a new video for the past week or so, complete with a "story" style opening. Just can't decide whether to make it a western or a sci-fi.
The record companies get around to reissuing albums on either CD or digital. The Mason Williams Phonograph Record album was reissued on CD in 2013. The first CD version was released in 1990.
I was laughing a lot (and still am) during that "Have you finished those errands yet?" part. This probably has to be your funniest video you've made in a long time!
I happen to own a Dell Dimension 4600 computer but the weird thing is is that it has no onboard vga connecter but the io shield has a spot for one and, also it has no agp or pci graphics card of any kind.
@uxwbill The differences between Dell Dimension 4600 and 4600i is that the 4600i has both integrated onboard video as well as the AGP slot for dedicated graphics and also the motherboard is different in both machines.
And about the state of the house, don’t feel too bad about it. My grandfather bought a little house built in 1924, and outside of the bathroom, it has not been so much as repainted... THAT is a bad house.
I gotta say bill this is a good video. Doing the stop motion box bits and driving etc was just great. :). I saw in couple comments you had a loss in family I'm sorry about that. My grandfather made it to 91 and went Feb this year.
You should make more videos like this, as I find it quite funny, and I like to watch these in the background while I do time-consuming things, like Sync iPods and build computers. Kind of like a podcast.
That's exactly what I do when ever I'm working on or fixing something. I just put on one of his long videos and just listen with my Turtle Beach headphones because they have a ridiculously long cord.
Sorry to hear about the loss. I actually have the manual for my Dimension 3000, as rare as those are to find on eBay, I got one. I also got the full set of manuals for a Dimension 4500, back when I had one of those.
I Had a Dell Dimension 4600 that i booted once and then about 4 months later in storage, i booted it and it wont detect my hard drive. I even tried other HDDs and it still wont boot. can somebody help?
That camera, bottom left 3:45, I have that camera, A204 Fujifilm... It is a nice little retro Digital camera, I use it quite a lot, i like the 640x480 up to 2MP capabilities... personally I have owned 2 of them, the first one died after having a collision with my hard bedroom floor, luckily I managed to find one about a year later at the local flea market, honestly I really like it, and I am surprised that I am not the only person who has/ has had one at some point, I really hope you enjoy using it as it is not a bad camera, even for its age, and it creates a nice retro looking effect on all of the pictures taken.
I have to say - This video gave me a good chuckle! Lovely work, Bill! haha I one time was given a whole pallet full (probably stacked 6-7feet high) of those same exact Dells. Same configuration, But with AGP cards installed from Dell and with a firewire card. Most of them ended up being nuked and donated, The others are still floating around in various states of disrepair in my storage. They are great little machines, Very durable and not bad performers even in this day and age - Nice and quite too! (Atleast, until the CPU fan bites the dust)
The "i" in the model name Dimension 4600i indicated that the motherboard included integrated video along with the AGP expansion slot which the Dimension 4600 only came with. Windows 8 is Windows 7 with a Fisher Price user interface and a bunch of services shut off by default compared to Windows 7. Microsoft added the infamous quick boot to Windows 8 that can play havoc with any dual boot system if you attempt to setup.
The beginning sounds in the movie sort of reminds me of the old THX sound thingy that you hear in some movies at the beginning. I know it doesn't sound like it but for some reason it reminds me of it
I have found that if you use a usb extension cradle with those usb wifi adapters you can raise the adapter to sit on top of the case and get the added advantage of wifi speeds upto 300Mbps (many older pcs have 100Mbps ethernet cards).
***** I agree. Not to mention the extra security risk associated with wifi. You are correct of course that the card in this video is not a usb device however my comment was in relation to usb wifi adapters in general and a reply to your comments on interference at around 22:00 in the video. Wifi does make sense of course in home networks, most of which are relatively quiet and cover short distances. Having bought 3 of these usb adapters for use around hard to reach areas of the house I can confirm that adapters that were connected into a cradle and placed on top of a tower had better reception and better speeds compared to ones that were connected straight into the back via usb (even though my router is 15m away and one level up). As you mentioned os support etc I can also confirm that when it comes to linux OS and wifi cards all bets are off. My advice there would be don't even bother unless you really know how to install wifi drivers in linux. But then again when it comes to linux maxxarcade is always complaining about how slow his WIRED gigabit network runs when he uses linux. Go figure.
Can anyone tell me why did the Intel class action suit didn't include customers from Illinois? Because the articles that I have read don't explain why? I agree that it is good Idea to keep a vintage computer around.because you never know when they will come in handy.
The DELL BIOSes on these computers will revert to the BIOS build date when they lose their date and time. August 26, 2004 is when revision A12 was released!
Talking about speakers, my dad custom ordered Dell 5.1 speakers because the ones that Dell were showing on the website when we were building his E521 were all 2.1. They're a very nice set (and even the back two speakers, which are combined into one unit, are wireless) and they sound very, very decent for the price (can't remember the exact value but they weren't much more if not the same as some of the speakers listed). The central speaker just hooks under the monitor, since he's also using the original monitor.
uxwbill: I have a question. I own a dell demension 4600 and the problem i'm having is that it has the organ flashing light but not an ordinary one. it has a top left corner 12volt power connector problem. If you unplug the power connector everything works. The hard drive turns on. Both disk drives turn on. Both the north and the south bridges tun on but heat up unnaturally. no bulging capacitors or any thing else. The problem is that when i plug the 12 volt power connector in it blinks orange. I think the problem is that there's a short circuit in the top left corner and i don't want to through it away I want to find out the problem. I was wondering if you knew how to fix it. please and thank you sincerely: Improvise101
Try another power supply, if you haven't already. Faulty power supplies were common in these. Unless you have significant experience in troubleshooting electronics on a component level, there won't be much you can do if another power supply fails to get it working. Even then it may not be possible or practical to repair the board. If you really want to keep the computer, try to find a used motherboard. The last I knew they were still pretty common and reasonably inexpensive.
Just so you will know, in order to see the registration info in Windows 7, you will need to hit Win-R, type "winver" in the open box, and hit Enter. The "About Windows" box will come up, with the NT version number, copyright info, and the registration info.
the floppy drive's heads could simply be dirty. I have had to clean tons of dust out of drives like that, usually cleaning the drive returns it to working order, as I have a few of these floppy drives still as spares
Wow, all our favorite TH-cam authors are releasing full length feature movies! First "Angry videogame nerd: The Movie", and now this. 34:14 - Interesting you should mention that; word on the street is that they fixed up Vista after SP1. 45:24 - No Pale Moon browser love for that machine? 48:48 - Just think of the Windows 7 glass feature you'll get to use once you upgrade the card!
If only one could still buy a simple, plush riding, reasonably economical, well designed and inexpensive to maintain car like them today... I love it. I only wish I'd bought one MUCH sooner!
I really like that part of the begining of the Movie, you could do that to publish the stories like story book, or do like playing movies with script as a character. That would be cool. =)
Gotcha with the situation with your Grandfather, my own maternal grandmother made it to 100, and as you say, she was just worn out. It's awesome he made the century :)
its funny. Back in the day we purchased the same computer with the included harman kardon speakers, lcd monitor, optional graphics card, upgraded ram, upgraded pentium 4 and keyboard/mouse. We even purchased a dell axim pda and a cable tv tuner for the computer. That setup was awesome! and we still have all of the components around the house!
Read Microsoft's "How to tell" page about determining if a copy of Windows is genuine ;) That wireless card worked surprisingly well, nothing special in terms of drivers, it just worked with what it got from Windows. The clock battery was fine when it left this house on April 30th 2014. WMP is indeed brain dead, its auto track info thing incorrectly IDs songs like you wouldn't believe. I suspect the floppy drive is "bad" in that it was filthy inside, nobody seems to have used it the past few years. Those speakers are still in NC.
You've gotta love when you have a larger library and it mixes up the art for all your tracks (even though the original art is actually still intact). That said, I still use WMP because it is effective and user friendly (and because I don't listen much on my computer anyway).
I get old computers like these all the time from offices wanting to get rid of them I normally recycle them because they are way more in their weight in gold and silver then they are as they stand.
+HDXFH It wouldn't, I'm pretty sure no Intel Pentium 4 ever produced was 64 bit capable, Also 64 bit wouldn't make any difference to the computer's performance.
I can see how that P4 suit got started. In fact, I found on TH-cam a sketchy presentation by Intel back in 2001: th-cam.com/video/88ancHxItOc/w-d-xo.html I actually made a comment on that video about the benchmark featured there: "Intel wanted the Pentium III to die when the Pentium 4 came out. Unfortunately for the company, the Pentium III (in the Tualatin line) actually shown superior performance then the rushed Pentium 4 back in 2001. So they tried to convince us otherwise, like in this demo, where they did not match the clock speed on both CPUs, which is, in my personal opinion, a cardinal sin in this type of speed test. Intel stopped selling the P3 on 2003, when the P4 caught up."
I gotta say, I really like when computers put those PS/2 mouse/keyboard plugs on there.....it keeps USB ports free and with so many gadgets using USB, its nice to keep as many free as possible
I am still, to this day, using a very nice set of beige Harman/Kardon HK195 speakers that came with a Dell Dimension XPS t700r way back in 1999. These speakers are some of the best-sounding computer speakers that I have ever had. I also like the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front of the speakers so I can hook up a set of earbuds up on my desktop without having to stretch the cord all the way to my computer on the floor. Gone are the days when Dell gave a damn about the quality of their products. I still have these and all of the other peripherals that came with that computer, and they all still work quite well, including the computer itself which still chugs along like a champ with Debian and Windows 2000.
Your grandfarther did really well bill, sorry to hear of your loss mate. Brilliant fake movie start bill, i allways enjoy your brand of madness :-)) I could not stop laughing when the picture of bfh appeared, it did seem to stop you in your tracks as well lol :D Ahh windows not being able to format floppy disks, if i was there i would have said "Boot to dos and do the job propperly", ive had this problem before with the Oh so advanced windows. (a joke of sorts) When the sled stepper motor made that noise i jumped back 20 years and thought "Dam, a bad sector", i too enjoyed the noises of the drives, but a 1701 hard disk controller failure on mfm/rll drives never made me a happy chappie lol. I found an excellent use for pointless cd's, when i fitted a nice new wooden toilet seat i found that it didnt sit correctly on its rubber spacers, out came the sissors and a cd became two hand made packing washers, and the problem was fixed, a crap cd used to fix a crapper lol :-)) I threw a Emachine out the other day, similar ish intel board to the dimension, it had a pentium 4, 3000 processor, please dont swear at me :-(
Floppy drives can actually be able to read a disk, but not be able to write to a disk. The Reason Being that there are separate heads for reading and writing, and you can have the write heads go bad, but the read heads stay good, and the result is what i like to call, a read only floppy drive.
I told my teacher there was something wrong with the dementia machine when I was in 5th grade. She thought I was telling her I thought she had dementia, got suspended for 2 days =( which after I told my parents about it I had two sleep in days =) .
Hey Bill- I recently acquired a Dell Latitude D620 in pretty good shape. It just needs a RAM bump and some general cleaning up. Was wondering if you would recommend Windows 7 or 8 as a replacement for XP (which it is currently running on). I have no experience with either. The system does meet and exceed the minimum requirements for both but the age of it does make me worry.
(In my opinion) I would keep it on Windows XP or maybe put Windows Vista on it. What are the specs of your laptop? if you have 1 or more GB of RAM you can run Windows Vista but please note, if it's an older system it is probably only compatible with Vista 32-Bit. Also in my opinion Windows 7 and 8 run horribly on an older system.
Jim Dayton Thanks Jim. It's a 1.83 ghz Intel core duo with 504 MB of RAM. It was pretty loaded with spyware and I managed to get it to run ok but there are still lingering issues like super slow (5 minutes) shut down, general sluggishness, and other odd behavior which made me think doing a reinstall might be the only solution. Still, with only 504 MB of RAM it performs decently but the fan does come on a lot.
jimmccarron Oh, i see. I would recommend upgrading the RAM to 1GB and i would definitely recommend reloading an OS. Amazon and eBay have copies of Windows XP and Vista. If it takes that long to shut down and acts weird I'm pretty sure the virus trashed the OS. Reinstall Windows.
***** It is not a "terrible idea". XP is fine. Just use reliable (Paid for) virus protection and don't go to or download anything from ads or unofficial sites. You can also get Ad Block Plus to filter out the scam ads. Also, if you are brave you can use that Windows Server registry hack to receive updates until 2019!
3:46 "Is that what it's going to take to get you to quit bothering me?" "I swear, I'm talking to a cardboard box, ...I think i've probably lost whatever of it I had left."
My curbled 4600 came with both the soundcard and the external graphics card, and it did have the "NO" plugs on both the internal sound card and the internal VGA plug. The Factory HDD was in the secondary HDD mount on mine too. Oh, and it came with a 3.06Ghz P4. I then added 768MB more RAM, a SATA WD Caviar Blue hard drive, and upgraded the graphics card and it FLYS with Vista Ultimate. I didn't pick up the speakers, keyboard, mouse, and CRT with it because I was on foot...
I have your Dell's brother, i have a Dell Dimension 4700. Awesome video! It was funny and informative! I was kind of hoping the Dell still had Windows XP on it. I bet Windows 7 is kind of slow on 1GB RAM and the other older hardware on that PC. So when is Dell Dimension 4600 the movie coming out on DVD? :P
No, I do not keep every computer I make a video about. This one is still around, and is used mainly to run a projector for vacation pictures and videos.
I'm a fan of your computer bids uxwbill. I have a few Core 2 Duo cpus left over from various computer upgrade jobs I've done. I'd you'd like them, they're yours. I can't remember what they are off hand, I think an e6750 and an e7500...
You finally finished those errands!
Have you finished those errands?
YES I HAVE SPUNGBOB
Lol
Not today probably tommorow
My friend and I used them as frisbies in the back yard. To this day you might still find some out there that where stray. Every time we would go to Walmart they would have stacks of that and "Wal-Mart Connect" we bring home a ton and just destory them.
when furhead popped up on the screen...oh dear god, i laughed harder than i have in a long time. that's absolute gold.

"I remember getting one of these--"
*SQUEAK*
"Stop that."
Can we get a HD remake xD
I was just kidding bill.... Great video.... Huge fan can't belive you replied to my comment :D
That's very nice of you to do. I love your videos keep them up
Andrew Johnstone Yes keep making more computer videos! :D

in dell precision pc's i mostly see foxxconn motherboards loaded with the standard dell bios
i have the set of speakers shown in the picture, or very similar with the 2 satellite speakers and the woofer. it came with a dell dimension 3000 which i have as well but i am not using them on it.
I use to format the AOL floppy disks that came to my house in the mail and used them to store documents.
That's the most genius way to recycle I've ever seen.
nah, just use a magnet

my Dell dimension 4600 has a PCI express. why does yours have agp?
If your Dimension 4600 has a PCI Express slot, it's not a Dimension 4600. Either someone changed the board or maybe you have a Dimension 4700.
oh never mind. I just looked at the front of the computer and overlooked that it is a 4700
you forgot the dell dimension 8250
Fun fact half of the software distributed on CD rom was AOL according to Jason Scoot from the internet archive
I had a set of Harmon/Kardon
Can't decide which one had more horror, the beginning of the video or that desktop background picture :-)

A western would be funny. Just Optiplex machines wielding revolvers and wearing Stetsons, shooting HP machines!

out of curiosity what the dell model number on the blue sata cables that Dell used if you have that computer handy
I don't know, and it's not readily available.
+uxwbill thank you anyway

i always wondered what is OS Install Mode? every modern (and by modern i mean 20000+) BIOS I have dealt with have this option
Great job, UXW. You should have added some scary ominous music during the bizzarrefurhead screen. That was definitely the scariest part of the video.
Gotta say, loved the video Bill. And yes, I did stick it out through the entire video. Always good to watch your vids, and just veg out for a while.

the old one was broken and then swapping back yesterday to the old one.
+Michael Butler I am going to try.
+Michael Butler no luck. It says
Primary SATA drive seek failure
That SFF computer on that chair... that looks like it could have fallen at any moment. O.o
That may be true. However, if memory serves, it is an HP computer and therefore I would not have cared much if it had fallen off of there.
Why? Just don't like HP computers in general?
I think that HP's Small Form Factor machines, especially in the Pentium 4 era, have VERY BAD COOLING.
The Mason Williams classical gas is the original version from 1968 ....
Really? I wondered how old it was.
Hey I got a Dell Dimension 2350 with a quite similar motherboard except mine doesn't have Serial ATA.
I love this kind of music and it doesnt ever get boring lol its the only thing i listen to!

Go figure.
I have not laughed so hard in a long time! Thanks I love your videos!
Can anyone tell me why did the Intel class action suit didn't include customers from Illinois? Because the articles that I have read don't explain why?
I agree that it is good Idea to keep a vintage computer around.because you never know when they will come in handy.
Very well done! I loved the intro. and all of the detail about the computer.
lol you are a trip youd be fun as hell to sit and hang with talking about old tech :)
daphuqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq lol

I was wondering if you knew how to fix it. please and thank you
sincerely: Improvise101
Try another power supply, if you haven't already. Faulty power supplies were common in these.
Unless you have significant experience in troubleshooting electronics on a component level, there won't be much you can do if another power supply fails to get it working. Even then it may not be possible or practical to repair the board. If you really want to keep the computer, try to find a used motherboard. The last I knew they were still pretty common and reasonably inexpensive.
thanks
uxwbill harass sounds like her ass
uxwbill your steering pump dont sound to healthy there bill
Almost thought there was going to be the THX sound at the start! Great video!
Just so you will know, in order to see the registration info in Windows 7, you will need to hit Win-R, type "winver" in the open box, and hit Enter. The "About Windows" box will come up, with the NT version number, copyright info, and the registration info.
I love your Chevy Caprice Wagon!
the floppy drive's heads could simply be dirty. I have had to clean tons of dust out of drives like that, usually cleaning the drive returns it to working order, as I have a few of these floppy drives still as spares
I remember just grabbing handfulls of aol cd's everywhere that had them and doing all kinds of juvenile stuff with them as well.
Who got the role of 'Voice Box' ? :P
Not sure what that is.
I remember looking at the thumbnail and thinking it was a melted Dimension front panel, but then I realized it was a drawing
Floppy disk reformatting also "music to my ears", great video!
I love those old Caprice wagons!
If only one could still buy a simple, plush riding, reasonably economical, well designed and inexpensive to maintain car like them today...
I love it. I only wish I'd bought one MUCH sooner!
+uxwbill does it have the rear facing back seat?
Yes. So far as I know, that was standard issue unless one bought a police package wagon. (Those are very rare.)
I really like that part of the begining of the Movie, you could do that to publish the stories like story book, or do like playing movies with script as a character. That would be cool. =)
Also would like to add, Love the longer Videos!
10/10, life changing experience.
Gotcha with the situation with your Grandfather, my own maternal grandmother made it to 100, and as you say, she was just worn out. It's awesome he made the century :)
This was beautiful. Dat wallpaper doe.
do you still have that library of music...? If so could you share me a link of it because I wanna have a hear of it too
+Alex Hawthornthwaite No, I cannot.
+uxwbill Damn. okay, also you should be inspecting your eyelids ;-P
+uxwbill do you plan on microwaving those boring accsessory discs?
Windows 7 certifitic of authenticity for a copy of windows xp that makes it even more legitimate
8 years later and...... have those errands been finished yet?
Probably not. The Dim4600 is still around and working just fine, though.
I have those same colorful floppy disks, and they really are hit or miss. It's annoying.
Read Microsoft's "How to tell" page about determining if a copy of Windows is genuine ;)
That wireless card worked surprisingly well, nothing special in terms of drivers, it just worked with what it got from Windows.
That said, I still use WMP because it is effective and user friendly (and because I don't listen much on my computer anyway).
i had those exact same speakers! Feels like the 90's was only yesterday....
I get old computers like these all the time from offices wanting to get rid of them I normally recycle them because they are way more in their weight in gold and silver then they are as they stand.
wonder how 64 bit'd run on this thing!!
***** I have a Dell Dimension 4700! But it's staying with Windows XP.
+HDXFH It wouldn't, I'm pretty sure no Intel Pentium 4 ever produced was 64 bit capable, Also 64 bit wouldn't make any difference to the computer's performance.
Tri-County Electronics Exactly!
I can see how that P4 suit got started. In fact, I found on TH-cam a sketchy presentation by Intel back in 2001: th-cam.com/video/88ancHxItOc/w-d-xo.html
I actually made a comment on that video about the benchmark featured there: "Intel wanted the Pentium III to die when the Pentium 4 came out.
The cheese......it's too much.
*dies*
*Cough* *Cough* The ...... Cheese its just........ Just
*Dies*
Dylan Smith
Just delicious? (I'm from Wisconsin, what did you expect?)
I gotta say, I really like when computers put those PS/2 mouse/keyboard plugs on there.....it keeps USB ports free and with so many gadgets using USB, its nice to keep as many free as possible
it's "wil-LAM-met" (former illinoisan that moved to oregon that made the same mistake back in the day)
Why did they not give it back and would you recommend buying a compaq presario from school?
Your computer videos always make me look at my Optiplex GX150 like it's the best art we had in 2001. (Which it was since it had the 1ghz Pentium 3)
Your grandfarther did really well bill, sorry to hear of your loss mate.
Brilliant fake movie start bill, i allways enjoy your brand of madness :-))
I could not stop laughing when the picture of bfh appeared, it did seem to stop you in your tracks as well lol :D
Ahh windows not being able to format floppy disks, if i was there i would have said "Boot to dos and do the job propperly", ive had this problem before with the Oh so advanced windows. (a joke of sorts)
When the sled stepper motor made that noise i jumped back 20 years and thought "Dam, a bad sector", i too enjoyed the noises of the drives, but a 1701 hard disk controller failure on mfm/rll drives never made me a happy chappie lol.
I found an excellent use for pointless cd's, when i fitted a nice new wooden toilet seat i found that it didnt sit correctly on its rubber spacers, out came the sissors and a cd became two hand made packing washers, and the problem was fixed, a crap cd used to fix a crapper lol :-))
I threw a Emachine out the other day, similar ish intel board to the dimension, it had a pentium 4, 3000 processor, please dont swear at me :-(
What was the date on the wifi adapter's receipt?
That's too awesome! I need to get some inspiration from you! Great job!
these MiTAC case dells are so cool, although that might just be my nostalgia talking
I guess I will be the one to mention the Spongebob "did you finish your errands" reference lol
I have a D630 with Windows 10 2004 on an ssd and it's the best install of Windows 10 i've ever used. But results will vary. It has a C2D T8300
3:46 "Is that what it's going to take to get you to quit bothering me?" "I swear, I'm talking to a cardboard box, ...I think i've probably lost whatever of it I had left."
*AN EAGLE-EYED VIEWER APPEARS!*
3:46 -- Is that a FujiFilm digital camera on the bottom left corner of the screen? :P
Sounds nice. I have Windows Vista Business 32-bit running on a Dell Optiplex with 2GB RAM and it is 50x faster than Win7 64-bit on 8GB RAM.
Do you still have all these computers you have featured in all your older videos? These old dells` are actually becoming quite rare where I live
Great video. The chessy movie at the begiging was the best part :)
Also, Bill, in my experience with Vista, It's faster than 7 and 8 with SP2. Before SP2 it was horrid though.
I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with a floppy drive
