I did Lemongrass in hydroponics this year and it grew very very well. Put at supermarket stalk in some clay balls in a pot then in tubes that have water and fertiliser in it , 3 flows of 15 mins a day.

I grew lemongrass last year. I had two lots, 1 I placed in a pot In the greenhouse and 1 in full sun at the allotment. The allotment grass grew far better. Also I use the leaves along with thyme and ginger as a tea with a little honey tastes wonderful. Harvist the leaves a good half handful and tie them in a knot scrunch and place in a pan along with a small bunch of thyme and a few slices of ginger. Bringing to the boil sieve into a cup and add honey to suit your taste.

You just need to be patient and give them up to 14 days to root thoroughly. I’ll put them in my heated greenhouse throughout the winter and place them outside after the last frost.

I've been on a roll watching videos on how to grow lemongrass. My understanding is for preserving, you can clean everything, cut the leaves off, wrap them in bundles then freeze them and use them for soups and teas. And then freeze the stalks. Freezing seems to be the best way to keep the flavor.

I've managed to get another one to root. They look pretty strong too. I have my multipurpose compost & the vermiculite but no leaf mold compost. Can you tell me when I've potted it, how often does it need watering? Do I water it straight away? or leave it to settle in? I've read somewhere that they don't mind really dry soil. Is this true? Thanks in advance :0)

Got two lemongrass rooting on the windowsill right now. How is it harvested? Do you cut the tops off or take a whole stem out to use ? Does it
Produce more stems and thicken out ? Thanks.

Jan it will keep throwing new shoots at the side of older ones, Just pull off what you need then cut the tops and roots off and use the bottom 4-6 inches

Bro, I was in a lot of pain (slightly above the abdominal area, right where the ribs start to meet). I couldn't eat anything, lost about 14 kilos.
I went to a naturist Dr. Turns out I had a few different problems originating from inflamation in my intestines, causing my immune system to decrease and a bacteria got in. He said that there wasn't any medication for my problem as far as modern medicine goes, but the one thing that could help me with that bacteria was lemongrass since it kills bacteria. I went a bought me pot of lemongrass (currently figuring out how to grow it myself) Couple weeks later, the pain had stopped, my urine is back to it's usual color (it was almost brown). I haven't been drinking anything that isn't lemongrass tea since I went to the dr. Now that the bacteria is gone, he's moving me onto a wheatgrass treatment to rebuild my enzymes by introducing healthy cells into my body and finally get rid of the inflamation for good. I have the seeds germinating in a jar right this moment. I'll finally be able to eat normal food that isn't just chicken and vegetable soup, salads and tuna. Everyone should have these plants at home. They have many uses, they're easy to take care of. They are truely a resource, even if it's just for preventative measure to extend your health.

I tried to grow lemon grass years ago from seed. I always thought of it as an ornamental plant so never gave any consideration to it being used for culinary purposes. Like you stated in the video, it was highly problematic to grow from seed so I gave up in the end and have not looked back. I'm interested in growing certain types of plants suited to being indoors. The types that have positive health benefits like improving air quality.
Perhaps you could do a video on this subject?
