The animation from studio mir is great they did do Korra and X-men 97 after all lol. The voice acting wit Ichigo /nero is fine plus on Twitter aka X Reuben doesn’t really care himself he said it’s all in the family . He’s looking forward to see Johnny do a younger dante for this show . The show itself it seems adi is taking from all sorts of stuff from DMC 4 from one from 3 I think even the reboot lol. Making an amalgamation I forgot stuff from the manga as well . Hope Vergil is in this show at least have the original actor for Vergil dude lol
I think they choose nero because lagndon has just gotten older like u can hear it in devil may cry 5 he's not that same shit talking Dante like he was in 3 or 4 but wiser and older nero in 5 felt like Dante from 3 constantly shit talking and kicking ass while doing it.
@@AlessandroMarques95 JYB confirmed it on his Instagram. But he's willing to drag him back in a potential mainline sequel. And if they have problems with that, best they could do is make a Sparda Prequel.
It’s not because he’s older. The creator doesn’t like Dante’s voice actor. They’ve had their problems. I don’t know if Langdon has is out of voice acting or if they’re doing under the table “kicking him out”, but I know it’s not the character. I highly think itsuno god rid of him. But who knows
Like people have mentioned, it’s probably because of Langdon’s age. But I’d take it a step further and say they’re likely planning sequels where we’ll see Nero and Dante voiced by their VAs again. Not only would this make Dante’s aging more obvious, but we should also remember that when DMC4 was announced, there was a lot of mystery around how Nero was connected to Dante. So having Nero sound just like a younger Dante could fuel a lot of speculation for newcomers to the series.
I'm looking forward to watching it. So this DMC have a mixture of all Devil May Cry and Johnny is gonna be a voice of Dante which is cool but I want Reuben back but still I would like to see how he voice as Dante. Reuben would not be a voice of Dante, but would he voice someone else character like a cameo.
Really good video. For someone like me who's played all the games but not seen any of the comics or stuff. More detailed breakdown and story behind characters would be good 👍🏽
16:45 I thought I was the only one who noticed that voice sounded familiar to Kevin Conroy (R.I.P), and I hope it's him. He's got great range for playing 2 different versions of the same character. The different references to everything DMC is great, too. I'm curious on what the story is going to be like for this show.
14:11 The motorcycle's design is strongly similar to _Cavaliere_ and the moves and turnes Dante does while riding it, are 1x1 the same as in the scene at the start of DMC5 - Mission 15.
I wonder if this Anime is going to be more of a take of the DMC Manga, it would be so cool to get more depth on the Manga Exclusive Characters (Grue, Neil Goldsteen, Gilver, etc.) and possibly even a look at some Primary Characters in their past lives.
People call themselves anime fans and people are confused about who is voicing Dante he is one of the most biggest well known English dub voice actors voices ichigo from bleach Trigun Vash the stampede code geass zero Lelouch people need to go watch those shows so they can get a better idea idea who he is and watch his performance all 3 are great shows I highly recommend those of you who haven't watched any of them
I have low expectations for this. For one, I hate the Netflix adaptations all having the exact same anime art style. Of all the things you can do in anime, having a consistent art style across multiple projects is obscenely boring. The whole point of the format encourages creative expression through art style. What's the point if all the art looks exactly the same? Just look at the original anime. My God it's gorgeous and stands out as distinct and unique. And after the way Adi or whatever his name is royally screwed up Castlevania, I am far more skeptical of any future projects. DMC is my ultimate favorite series ever. My standards are high.
This style of animation is totally different from the other adaptations. Its a completely different studio. Not to mention Adi didn't have complete creative oversight of Castlevania. This time around he will.
@@RandomBlackGamer Well all their other adaptations have the same damn ass art style. Maybe I just don't like this art direction then. Again I don't have faith in this new show nor in Adi. Devil May Cry is sacred to me and so far, the original anime is the standard. That show was amazing. And I actually don't care about Johnny Bak voicing Dante. As long as he gets the character's personality down. I have no issue letting other actors take on the role. I love Rueben but if I were being honest, I much prefer the original voice actor from the first DMC game.
Afaik, Rebellion has 2 sides. Demon and Human side (that is kinda important, since the sword is a seal/key of sorts, its not just a weapon). There are no horns on Human side's scull. In anime it has horns on both sides. I don't think they cared about lore/timelines that much...just slapped some stuff together.
I gotta admit. If JYB wasn't chosen to voice Dante. They could've also had Drew Combs come back(if Combs was still willing to take the role). But JYB is not bad. I hope the writers make him consistant to Dante's character and not make him have Nero's personality of being a very serious passionate hothead.
All I can say is, this DMC Anime is definitely gonna kick every single Terrible Resident Evil (Live Action or Animated) Adaptations right in the Ass, Because this DMC Anime is gonna be the Best Video Game (Animated) Adaptation ever made of all Time!
I could definitely believe Reuben Langdon is being sidelined for his political views. I mean, there's absolutely no way anybody could have a voice that badass and not be totally based.
If this is a political thing burn this show to the ground for not hiring Reuben I don’t care what someone political views are when there are doing there nine to five as long as it doesn’t bleed into there work if it does get rid of them but if this is just a schedule issue I’ll give the show a shot but I will say this they now got to change up the voice actors lol and by that I mean we got have Reuben as Virgil lol and if Nero gets in the show Daniel as him.
@@RandomBlackGamer I don't wanna go very deep into details. But was he... you know the type of guy to be in the klan? Or did he just hate BLM specifically. They can sometimes act like nutjobs and I can see why. But to the Twitter mobs that would make him public enemy(heh) number one.
I honestly don't like that Johnny/Nero is doing Dante's voice. First off hes just using his regular Nero voice and not even creating a new voice for Dante. That is going to be jarring to me and will just look like Nero is doing an impression of Dante. I'd honestly rather have a new Voice actor try Dante. I'm rather sad that Reuben gave up acting; to me he cemented the role of Dante.

Sorry but Nero's voice on Dante is just not it. Just go back to dmc 3 and then watch the trailer, the difference is bizarre. I'd much rather have a new voice actor step up. Other than that the show looks promising
A person not voice acting anything, has nothing to do with the performance of a game or anime. The anime itself already looks good Nx Rebuen himself is looking forward to it
You calling the anime a failure without having seen a single episode just because one person didnt come back to voice a main character is just a really stupid reason why this show would fail lmao 🤣.
Disagree and wrong. It's literally just about the same as any DMC game. U have to be talking about the DMC reboot unless u have forgotten already of how Dante acts especially since he's young here😂😂😂
Dante himself is supposed to be witty and lighter hearted than the rest of the cast, and in DMC, a lot of the setting is less dark and gritty and more just dark.
How do you feel about Reuben's absense in this series? And what do you think about the animation?
