John Varvatos Dark Rebel Rider Review
John Varvatos Dark Rebel Rider Review is live now. I reviewed Dark Rebel by John Varvatos late last year and now I had the pleasure of reviewing Dark Rebel Rider by John Varvatos. Dark Rebel Rider like Dark Rebel is composed by the perfumer and nose Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Dark Rebel Rider has the dominant notes of Leather which is a very soft, and gentle leather with cacao a unique note to add to the leather but it works great here almost gives it a gourmand touch but doesn't go there. There are times throughout the life of Dark Rebel Rider the cacao and orange notes dominate a bit but then the leather and violet take over and the cacao even though there is a bit more in the back seat but still can pick up that cacao note.
Dark Rebel Rider is another great release from the house of John Varvatos and definitely a niche quality release from the house of John Varvatos just like Dark Rebel. I'm anticipating to see what will come next from the brand as I like these two latest releases Dark Rebel and Dark Rebel Rider from John Varvatos.

Excellent scent for me. It last at least 6hrs on me strong before falling to skin. The compliments are great, from the mature females. As you said it is something to set you aside from the rest wearing the hyped "Fresh/Green" scents that everyone else is running to. Great review. Thanks
I just picked up a bottle as blind buy for $34 and wasn’t sure but couldn’t pass it up for the price. That to your review it feels like a good one.

I was a bit disappointed with Dark Rebel (not a bad darker scent but it just didn't hit the mark with me)...however, I enjoyed your take on this fragrance, as usual.

I’m quite pleased with this fragrance as it is different than the status quo.
Everything about this one is as he describes.

@@ThePerfumeGuy it’s still available at on line discounters and drug stores at a reasonable price at around $45 for the larger bottle.
I own the JV Vintage which is a wonderful tobacco suede type of a fragrance and imo the best from JV line. I sprayed JV DR in the store and it smelled like burnt rubber (in a good way), unfortunately it disappeared off my skin after 2 hours.

Projection is soft, close to skin. Longevity about 5.5 hours! :)
So you telling me JV fragrances are making progress? lol. Moving from lasting 2-3 hours to 5.
This actually feels like on my skin it's an EDP it's dense but don't get me wrong it wears very close to the skin! So you have to like close to your skin fragrances. There's hardly much projection! That's why I said it's perfect for the office! :)

Pretty cool video and review. No doubt John Varvatos bottles are beautiful but the juices lack in longevity & sillage. Heard some good news about this Dark Rebel Rider performance, smell, longevity & sillage; and your review confirm about it.

Great review.. This sounds like it would be right up my alley. I had a sample of the original dark rebel and thought it was a really great scent. It was dark, a little smokey and masculine but appealing at the same time. I love it.. I also liked the original JV.. I think the huge let down for me about this house is the performance.. WHYYY can't they fix the performance. This one probably suffers the same fate.

i prefer the original Dak Rebel but this is a close second. They are different.
i dont find any boozy notes here which i prefer in the original
i also love tom ford f'ing fabulous because of the mix of leather with dark notes.
This is why I enjoy your videos so much... your reviews are almost exclusive to Niche fragrances. As of recently, I've been having an urge to just throw to the garbage all my designers. It's like I can't stand myself knowing I'm wearing a double digit frag.
