- During Gamescom 2024, Kurt Indovina and Dan Ryckert got hands-on with the remaster of Shadows Of The Damned: Hella Remastered. Despite it being a over a decade old, this remaster is reminder of the game's varied gameplay, and distinct take on the action horror genre, making it one of Grasshopper Manufacture's most confident titles and a second life for a new audience.

they should remaster The Suffering 1 & 2
And Psi-Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy
They need to remastered Dante's inferno, dark sector, and the order
At this point, Remake. A remaster wouldn't be profitable
@MrRapture1988 That game still needs a sequel after that cliffhanger 😭
YES
One of my favorite PS3 games, I love how this remaster looks. Those of you that haven’t played it yet, you’re in for a special treat. I think this is my favorite game from this developer.
I beat this game like 3xs when it came out. This game is coming out with the perfect price and perfect time. Looking foward to beating it another 3 😎🔥🔥
Sometimes you just want a game with mindless action. No online only bs, micro transactions, etc...
Try Gun Grave GORE maybe
Remake Nightmare Creatures
Still have my copy, love this classic. Hella fun, if a little janky in places.
what suda games aren't a little jank?
I have the original Xbox 360 version on disc complete. I also have the original 360 version of Lolipop Chainsaw on disc complete as well and that too is getting a remaster. This is technically already playable on modern consoles with the Xbox 360 version being backwards compatible on the Xbox Series X you just slot the disc in and you are good to go. It's Sony that's slacking theirs absolutely no reason the PS3 version can't be backwards compatible too.
Sony just wants your money
I can't concentrate on what they're saying because John Waters is talking video games instead of making weird movies.
If you do concentrate you’ll realise he’s developed a verbal tick (like)
I'd play a John Waters game.
Just don't hope they don't censor it. Will be picking up day one. I never played it. Looks great
so what youre saying is: "This is a good came that most people cant play today, so we're giving it its skyrim release"?
Kind of unrelated but I like the camera work during the interview. Feels energetic. Makes the conversation seem more lively.
Remaster Darkness too maybe?...please?
And Mikami. It was Suda and Mikami's project. That's why it felt RE4ish at the time. I'm so pumped for this and the Lollipop Chainsaw remaster. We need more niche 360 era games like these getting basic remasters. Bump the resolution and framerate, low price tag, all platforms, done.
I love this game just because it has some characters designed by QHayashida. Hear me out. I want a game designed by QHayashida completely.
An underrated gem 💎
Now remaster killer is dead
I’ve played and own the originals on the PS3 idk why I would wanna replay this again, remastered seems like the same to me.
One of my fav games
I wonder what the game look like
I still have my PS3 copy. It had lot of style and was quite funny sometimes, but the gameplay definitely wasn't its strong point.
The original is B.C. on series x.
Forget Steam, haven't they ever heard of GOG?
No
It a great remake indeed ! If you own a ps2 ps3 🤣😂
Ah yes, the game everyone wanted remastering.................
is that new footage of the game? if so it doesn't look like much of a remaster
Go replay the original and you'll see the difference.
But do weapons carry over for ng plus?
I believe so.

'The tone being of it’s time” do you mean actually funny and no filter and pandering to this imaginary “modern audience"
It literally means it was following the style of humor that was popular at the time. Humor goes in cycles and can fall out of fashion for a multitude of reasons other "imaginary 'modern audience".
In the early 20th century, people thought people getting hit in the face with pies was the funniest thing ever. How long do you think audiences would find that funny? 5 years later? 10 years later? 50 years later? It's eventually going to get stale and someone is going to try something new.
The fact they're re-releasing the game at all, is solid proof that the the change wasn't because because “modern audiences" are easily offended (but of course, *_you're_* not one of them are you?).
@@fireaza Humour does not go in “Cycles” and if you believe this then I guess a Patrice O’Neal or Dave Chappelle joke is only funny during the time it came out? I’m assuming you can only laugh at something that’s funny if the setting is right? True humour never goes out of fashion. It seems you are the one defending or part of this imaginary modern audience?
@@Drebin-hq1wn "Cycle" doesn't mean "disappears completely after X length of time has passed and cannot be enjoyed in retrospect". It refers to the continual rise and fall in popularity of certain styles of humor.
This might be before your time (based on your behaviour, you're either in your late teens/early 20s and still in that "being an adult means you like adult things!" stage of your development, or you're emotionally-stunted) but when South Park first came out, it had a HUGE impact on culture. On the internet in particular, everything was channelling that South Park style of shock humor.
But you look around today, and that's not the case. Sure, it's not gone entirely, but this style of comedy has fallen out of popularity. The cycle has ended on it.
@@fireazahard to actually say the humor was of the time when at the time people complained that it was obnoxious and unfunny to the point that people were dismissing the game completely
This is a remaster. it looks the same, disappointment. Suda 51 expect better then this and Lolipop chainsaw!!
yes, it is a remaster, it's not suppose to look different. it's about restoring the original with higher resolution and FPS. a remaster that changes too much is at the detriment of the original's art direction like the demon's souls remaster, the return to arkham collection's arkham asylum, the dogshit AC remasters that change the colour and introduces more bugs and looks incohesive. wanting a remaster to change visuals to be more ''modern'' outside of resolution and framerate is like wanting a old black and white movie in colour or what george lucas and james cameron does to their movies
