Wow Vanessa, thank you SO much for your sweet message. I am also a substitute teacher in Ontario and totally understand where you are coming from. I hope you know that today you impacted me positively with your message, and I am wishing you the most wonderful Christmas and New Year. You are enough, keep shining your light! 🥰 And to Morgan - loved your ornament story-telling! It wasn't boring at all and I hope that you continue to make beautiful memories to add to your tree every year...maybe a tire this year? Hahaha. Thank you for all that you do and bringing smiles to our faces ♥
Thank you for sharing your ornaments and their stories…such wonderful memories. Our tree is the same way. It’s filled with handmade ornaments from our kids when they were little or handmade ornaments from friends and family. We also have a tradition of getting an ornament every time we go on vacation. It’s so fun to pull out the ornaments each year and reminisce❤️ Thanks for keeping me company while I wrapped gifts today🎄 Vanessa, thank you for sharing your sweet message. And thank you to ALL of the teachers, substitutes, assistants, principals, custodians, office staff, lunch workers, etc…everyone who works in schools. Your work is GREATLY appreciated and you’re making a difference in so many lives❤️ Merry Christmas🎄
Vanessa, your message so squared with me. I was a teacher for 35 years and please believe me when I say that substitute teachers are a lifesaver for teachers. I tried to always be thankful for what you guys do. It is so hard to go around to a different classroom with different students every day. I substituted before I got my regular teaching job and not knowing your students day after day is sooo hard! Please know that teachers and principals soooo appreciate what you do!❤❤🎉🎉 hugs and thanks!❤❤
Your videos have brought me so much comfort during a tough time. You've given me something to look forward to each day. Thank you for all that you do. Merry Christmas Morgan, Landon and Roo! ❤🎄😊
Lovely Morgan, you have been such a comfort and positive influence throughout my year, and I am so grateful to you ❤ I am sending you all so much love and all the hugs from across the Pond. Have a wonderful holiday and every good thing in 2025.❤
Thank you so much, Morgan, for taking the time to do vlogmas. Your videos have inspired me so much, with all the crafts and recipes and books. I look forward to watching your videos each evening and have been finding comfort in them, as certain parts of the holidays have been difficult for me. Thank you again! Wishing you, Landon, and Roo a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Also, if you have the Libby App through your library, you can look at so many magazines and from all over the world! I know it’s not like holding a real magazine but it’s free! 😊 Love the shout out to Long Beach Island! We had a pretty darn magical childhood. I do have a question-does RoO shed? Because his cousin Daisy sure does! Thank you both for another great Vlogmas video. 🎄
I had a draft written up and was going to call tomorrow but after watching this video i dont think i could've achieved the same take away message that you have beautifully spoken and i don't want to sound like a broken record with a similar take-a-way message so Thank you very much Vanessa for calling with that message. You all are enough, you make a difference, even with a smile to a stranger. i love you all and hope you are all enjoying the moments in the day, gazing at nature around you, enjoying a laugh in your surrounding, or even feeling centered with a few deep breaths in your minute of slowing down.
I adore seeing people's Christmas ornaments. They are always so unique and just this one big story of who the person or family is. That Little Women one is incredible! I want to make one now too! Also, I so much love your sparkly green sweater! And to Vanessa I had a substitute teacher who was the reason I didn't give up on a subject I absolutely loved. I hated my regular teacher and really was ready to give up and stop taking the subject as soon as I could. But then I got a substitute and she was incredible. I ended up taking the same subject under a new teacher later and it was so worth sticking around for, all because of a substitute like you. Maybe you aren't covering for a bad teacher the students don't like, but my point is, I never got to tell that substitute that she was the reason I kept going. You are surely impacting lives. You may never see the fruit of your labor, but it is there ❤
That was such a wonderful message, Vanessa! I am also a substitute teacher....I retired last year from being a full time teacher for many years. This year was tough as a substitute because before I always had my own class...lots of parties, thank you gifts, and fun moments. I cherish my freedom and flexibility as a sub now, but it was still tough. Thank you for your sweet message and know that you are valued, its just in a different way.
Ooh potpourri!! My grandma used to have a bowl of potpourri! 😊 The faces Roo pulls when he's on the sofa in his twisted position are just brilliant to watch! Definitely something that cheers me up!! 😂
I loved the stroll downtown 🤩I also really enjoy looking through interior design and architecture magazines. My go to Christmas movies every year are: A Christmas Carol (1938), It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and all the old claymation films ❤

Hey Morgan, 🦋 Your ornaments are so cute. I loved when you showed them. And have you ever watched Last Holiday (2006)? It’s my all time favorite feel good/comfort movie. If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. 🧡💐🌞
Hi Morgan, i’m french and I enjoy your videos a lot! That´s funny, mince pies are a must in my house every year before christmas and I was just thinking a few days ago you should try them 😊. Have a lovely christmas, Carole
Morgan, do the dehydrated orange slices you made and hung have a fragrance? I'm wondering if I should do them. I feel like they would look good on my tree or in my window... I really love looking at beautiful things, too! And two of my favourite English (UK) magazines are Country Living, and Country Homes & Interiors. But the subscriptions, at least for Canadians, are so expensive! Just buying a single issue in the shop is a lot. But for a few years while I worked at a bookstore, I treated myself to them every month (though they were behind by at least a month or two because of coming from England). They were such a treat, and I can still feel and smell them! I gave them all to my sister, who's an artist, for inspiration. PS. I loved the tour of your ornaments! My sisters and I have done an ornament exchange every Christmas for a long time and I have a couple from my closest friends too. It's my favourite thing about putting up the tree every year; each one is sentimental!
You're missing my two favorite Christmas movies: Miracle on 34th Street (my family always watches the classic older version from the 40s, though I know the newer version from the 90s has many fans too) and the Muppet Christmas Carol (or any version of A Christmas Carol really, but I think the Muppet one is the most fun and it also follows the original Dickens text more closely than any other adaptation)!
Love your podcast dear Morgan .. my hubby said to find you a blacksmith and he will probably make you the kind of fire poker set like you want .. my husband made several when he was younger but he’s told now to do it ♥️
Wonderful Vlogmas Day 21 Morgan. It was so nice to see downtown Portland decorated for the holidays and hearing some of the free tuba concert. I also love English Home magazine. I used to treat myself to the Christmas issue every year and it always inspires and puts you in the Christmas spirit. That is a good price for a year subscription as single issues are expensive. I loved seeing the different ornaments on your Christmas tree and hearing the stories behind them. I have that Little Women book ornament too from Etsy. Love it. I have had mince tarts and plum pudding. You can buy them (vegan) or make them yourself. My grandparents were British so that is how I was introduced to them. Vanessa thank you for your wonderful message.
“It’s also kind of fun having something to look for.” Spot on! I try to adopt this mentality for things I want to buy that aren’t necessities. It’s so common these days for people - especially those with disposable income - to feel an urge to buy a specific thing and then immediately go online and order it (which obviously en masse contributes to all sorts of problems, from shipping waste and environmental impacts, to deceased patronage of local businesses, etc.). So now when I find myself wanting to buy a non-necessity, like a cute dress or a book, I’ll often wait to see if I find it organically. And you’re right, hunting for the item is fun in and of itself! And it makes finding it that much better. Like for the past couple of months I’ve been thinking about buying a green velvet dress, and then yesterday I happened to be at a vintage market and saw a high quality one from the 90s, at an affordable price, and it fit me perfectly! Needless to say, finding that dress felt like such an accomplishment.
The culture shock when I moved to England and Christmas Pudding, Christmas Cake, and Mince Pies were at all the festive gatherings 😅 I do quite like them but they're very unique and quite polarising. Fun fact, kids leave mince pies and sherry for Father Christmas over here too! Our American/British household also leaves cookies and milk. Full smorgasbord for Santa at our place 😅
Your house looks beautiful. The photo in the magazine, I believe the reason curtains were placed there were to be able to close them for privacy and a cold draft since those are old houses.
If you are looking for another Christmas movie to watch and have Netflix I highly recommend 'Klus'. It is so unbelievably heartwarming and funny, and I feel like it does not get the recognition it deserves.
Hi Morgan, do you have a PO Box?? I’m in the UK and would be more than happy to send you some mince pies! You’d love them, and I’m sure I’ll be able to find some vegan ones. Xxx
Just all the goodness, again. My Christmas movie watch list always includes White Christmas, and the animated version of the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. It’s based on the L. Frank Baum book. My simmer pot is one of my favorite winter things. I like to throw in some whole cloves, and one star anise. The star anise is usually pretty strong so just one
THANK you so much another video, Morgan, Landon and Monsieur RoO.....!!!!!!! Morgan, where did you get your coat? I want one. It is so beautiful. I also need one of those squeeze balls :)
Morgan have you ever seen "The Holiday" with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz? It's my #1 most favorite Christmas movie and I save it to watch ON Christmas because I love it so much - I think you and Landon would enjoy it!
Hey Morgan, I’m from the uk and we have lots of fire sets available second hand or new ones if that’s more desirable. If you have a PO box I would be happy to find you a set and send it over the pond 😊
When i was a kid, my grandmother used to serve plum pudding at Christmas...The stuff you buy, but i recently looked at the ingredients and they add something in there, like humectant, or something like that, and when i looked up what it is on google, i think it said it comes from animal sweat or urine or something like that, so, yuck, i can't believe they use that...I'm not sure if that was in there as a kid, but it was good enough to comment that it was good, except that ingredient is disgusting...Once in a while my dad made fruitcake and seemed like it was fermented with alcohol for a few days or more, both not vegan, but were good...Since then, i haven't had either being vegan, but i came across this fruit bundt cake which seems like a simplistic version of fruit cake, and i'm sure you can make it gluten free...🍓 th-cam.com/video/I5nrAXdfPf0/w-d-xo.html ~ And here is a "Better than Dubai" chocolate, but if you are going to use vegan honey, i heard the brand "Melody" has good vegan honey but i don't know where to get it...🎄 th-cam.com/video/P_GAJITOLXE/w-d-xo.html

hey vlogmas queen ❤
yaayy! Always very excited for the Vlogmas!
Hi Morgan, Portland looks really pretty, I really like vintage stores. Interior decoration magazines are lovely, English Home is really beautiful.🤩
So cozy ❤ It inspires me a lot to create and enjoy this magical period
Great video Morgan and thank you Vanessa for the Heartwarming message.

I feeling you could get some of those foods like minced pie and the pudding at somewhere like a world market store
You should watch White Christmas. It’s an oldie but a goody❤
Came here to say this
I highly recommend watching The Holdovers! It is a beautifully filmed movie, and so heartwarming. Love your videos ❤
Also, we are able to get mince pies and Christmas pudding if we order them. I’m in Connecticut. We love our English Christmas treats!
