Hi from Australia. I have run a Gen 2,Gen 3 and a Gen 4 Prius also a Honda CRZ over the last twenty years. None have had any issues beyond normal servicing, all have been very reliable. Only replaced one 12 volt battery and one full set of tyres. Have owned the current Gen 4 Prius for six years. Everything still works, mechanically and electronically so hanging onto it for another couple of years at least. Getting over 50 mpg(us) urban and 54-56 highway. Most reliable car and plenty of acceleration from a rolling start. Going back to a hybrid after having a Civic Type R, Mazda MX30 and a new Mazda 3. Still keeping the Prius. Cheers.
I have the same car. Just hit 60K on it would love to be able to do as much maintenance as possible myself, but I know nothing. That engine looks so clean wish mine looked like that.

ONLY recently the CHECK ENGINE light came on, which is a testament to the reliability of this car. I really don't ever want another type of car AGAIN 👎. TOO BAD Lexus stopped production of them about 5 years ago, but I'll certainly be looking into a more recent model in the near future✌️. As long as you keep up with regular maintenance, you'll have the best car experience! I'm so attached to my car 😆

So the 200hnis EXACTLY same as prius line? Interchangeable parts and all? I had a gen 3 prius 1 owner and sold it. Bit hesitant with hybrids but these lexus are neat and a bit premium feel over a prius. Kind of want another.
Isn't there a cooling fan that needs to regularly cleaned to ensure the drive battery does not get too hot ? I believe ther is one in a Prius which if neglected causes the battery to get too hot andgreatly reduces it's life.
Just bought a CT and I'm enjoying it a lot! Might be an odd question: Would removing the safety plug be a good anti theft measure? Is that bypassable if a thief can connect to the OBD2 port, disable the warnings and drive using the ICU without the electric motor functioning? On the same note: are all toyota safety plugs the same for all models so basically a thief would normally have one of these if he's a pro? Thank you so much for this video!

I have not been able to find the generations on the ct200h. I found a 2014 ct200h with 60k so of course I bought it. There’s hundreds of forums with chatter of the head gasket. I was told get 2015+ then I read no, it’s 2014+ Can anyone confirm if the 2014 was prone for the reported head gasket issue? When I did my research on this year it said the car had an 8% report in major repairs. And when I looked at it and compared it to the years before, this number was low. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM IF MY 2014 WILL BE COSTING ME THOUSANDS BC OF THE HEAD GASKET? 😢😢😢😢 I love this car.
With that low of miles I would get the hybrid battery checked. You can get a Bluetooth adapter and the Dr. Prius app to do this on your own for less than $50.
I’ve just bought one with 158000 km with mark levinson. Same question, I guess it lasts 150-300k km. Depends of is it was cooled enough as I know. I have question to you. Does it makes some times squeaking sound some times when you realising brake pedal? It lasts 3-4 seconds. Thank you.

I want a ct200h but where I live and my path to work is a little heavy with highway merges where people are going 70 to merge into the same lane I come in. I have heard the 200h is terribly slow merging into high speed traffic.
It is, and probably the thing I like the least about it. I just posted a one year review yesterday and discuss the high and low points after a year of ownership.

2014 coming up on 95k, only replaced the 12 volt so far. Don’t drive them hard. Mine looks factory besides a few small paint chips and one door ding from someone

@@huss9629 you can through the Dr. Prius app, you just need the Bluetooth adapter to hook your car to your phone.

It doesn’t cost thousands to do a head gasket on these cars. They range between 450-600 bucks

Yes, same battery. I used the DEKA 9A51P in mine.

Twist it into sport mode and you should be fine in those situations
Get caught in Eco mode and you may be toast😂
If you switch it to sport mode it drives like a regular car and you shouldn’t have issues accelerating up to speed.
