Pro-Tip: "Burning calories" isn't just a figure of speech. Your body (and your dog's body) actually produce more heat when they're digesting food. Eating right before bed is terrible for losing weight, but great for staying warm, especially if you and your dog eat right before bed, and both sleep under the same blanket.

It can bring warmth when the weather is cold, but it also has the disadvantage that it will produce some smoke smell when it is first lit. Additionally, it is bulky and takes up a lot of space.
