Hi Les --reallly like your videos --- and like others love the S +C -- It started for me in 1974 whe we went camping in a field at Cowgill near Dent station with the youth club -- i was about 15 -- and i'll never forget it was a friday night + even after dark you here the long freight trains climbing up past dent head + arten gill viaducts --- ---think the classs 40s + 25s were working so hard --- you could hear them fo ages --- since then iv'e always been drawn to that part of the S+C-- Iv'e walked up the moors there dozens of times ! ----- i even remembe rSat the next day seeing the 45s+46s on passenger trains ----i lived in Bolton back then so it was rare to see a class 45 or 46 ---- great days ---take care Jim
great video Les as always some great captures there matey its a long tine since i have seen 57009 i think is one of a few 57s that west coast has aquired must say it looked fantastic and they are getting rid of a few 47s thanks for sharing Les really enjoyed it , take care a t b 👍 syd
Great shot fromt he pedestrian bridge, and the Pullman stole the video... even with the classic BIL and Pride. There's just something about thosePullmans in blue and with 43s pushing and pulling!
Many smart angles there, Leslie. Noth the least the clips from a bridge. Inspired by you I have purchased an AD53-cam, realizing it´s gonna take time to master. But I was wondering; do you use tripod or similar?
Thanks! It's a great camcorder. Most of the time I hand hold, steadying the camera by using the eyepiece rather than the screen - I can rarely see the screen for reflections anyway! However the big plus of this camera is the self steady option. I tend to use the tripod when using two cameras. Otherwise I'm moving around the station and don't want the hassle of re balancing it every time.
Nicely caught all-round - and you didn't have to cope with the behaviour of the crowds on Platform 3. I'll have to find a different venue for Scotsman's visit.
Thanks Tim. Later that afternoon I was offered a bus ride for today Sunday so had a pleasant day at Beamish, until 3pm precisely when the sky went black and the gods tipped water over us- soaked to the skin!
Great variety Leslie, even a duff and bodysnatcher on the same train!
Thanks Andy

Hi Les. Nice seeing you and Tim on the footbridge yesterday. Fantastic video as usual!
Thanks!
Excellent video as usual Les, many thanks. Looked like the paint was still wet on that 57.
Thanks. It did look rather fresh.

Another excellent video as usual, but the traffic noise on the bridge does detract from the quality somewhat. the visuals however are superb
The traffic noise is always a problem but it was important that I used a different location.
Awesome catches! Avanti is still one of my favorites. Don't know if I spelled that correctly. 🤣🫵👍✌️
Thanks!
