- Vamp kom til høydegarden Stigen i Sogn, for å holde åpningskonsert for den gjenoppbygde kulturgarden. Nå sender vi et utdrag fra denne "Verdensarvkonserten".
I over 20 år har amerikaneren Dee Cunningham restaurert og drevet gårdene på Stigen og Fresvik i Sogn. Når han nå tok fatt på den siste store jobben med å gjenreise løen på høydegarden Stigen, drømte han om å få gruppen "Vamp" til åpningskonserten på den veiløse og strømløse garden. Dette er historien om å gjøre denne umulige drømmen mulig.
Loved the tin whistle! I'm Irish and was married to a lovely norwegian man and I chose this song at his funeral when he died. I know that he will live forever in heaven!!

I love Eivor. If anyond wasn't seen her live performance of "Trodlabundin" from this same concert I'd highly recommend looking it up. It has millions of views

I'll try a fast and easy translation with a bare minimum of re-interpretation as i don't have time or the skills for something else....
Tir n'a Noir is the "gaelic-heaven", located somewhere in the west. It's about a man that has lost his wife and while the time passes, he's thinking about her , but gradually turning old and "forgetful" he starts imagine observing her presence , also he thinks he is hearing her voice. He's looking forward to join her in Tir n'a Noir, a place where all things that are "mind" will turn to "skin" or will materialize so he can meet her in person as he imagines her.

This is from Norway. The song is Norwegian and so is the band playing (Vamp). Eivør on the other hand is a visiting guest singer, she's from the Faroes and sings in her language.

Rami Vrazy It's about a man who once lost his wife, and now the time has come for him to pass away too. So he boards his "life-boat" so that he can sail over to Tír na nÓir "the land of gold" (that is heaven) to meet his beloved wife again.

She makes it to her own version, we maybe not used to it but absolutly nothing wrong with it and in the end she makes it in a way that i think is better than the original. Thats my opinion about it.
