Good to see you and your wife outside. And we got to see around the town as well. It was setup as I would have liked it, with the basket 🧺 so I could see going to our store and then picking up some food for us. But seriously though it was a good time to get together for a little bit of fun 😊
It was good to see a “real person “, ride the bike, rather than TH-camr with possible interest. Your wife’s reactions would be what you would expect a first time rider, never actually ridden an electric bike your wife’s views were raw and honest. Great review thank you 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing Joe! I'll have to take a look at these. My wife works a few miles from the house and we were trying to figure out a cheaper way to save on fuel costs during the summer. An E-bike was one of those ideas that came up.
Good review! There are hills in Nebraska??????? Up to 55 miles at 28 MPH is a pretty nice range. I'd be interested to know how it is in pedal only mode. These things are really practical for those quick trips to the store, especially for people who have big V-8 pickups as their primary vehicle. How about a follow up video, even a short, a year from now to let us know how they hold up in the longer term?
Hey Joe, cool video. Well done. That bike looks awesome. Wife’s reaction was too funny. You guys make some great videos. Keep up the great work! Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you both. S/F.
How far is the local shopping centre? With all the racks, you can do a lot of shopping. Question is where do you park it and feel confident it will be there when you get back? Beautiful, practical e-bike.
@@ahaveland Scooters have some big advantages like that. Also good for carrying on public transport - bikes, at certain times, are not allowed on public transport where I live - scooters have no restriction, particularly if they fold.
Nice one Joe, glad you both loved it. I made my ebike 8 years ago and still use it nearly daily - so much that I sold 2 cars that I just didn't need in the city anymore and saved so much that i can buy an EV now. Going out and exploring trails with a partner or just going to the shops is great fun, and even if you're not pedaling much, you're still getting exercise and fresh air. Micromobility and EVs are two of the greatest threats to the fossil fuel industry, which is why they are trying to resist and influence politicians against them, against all common sense.
You flip the lever in the center of the bike frame and it can fold in half. You can also pull the latch handle on the neck of the handlebars and those will fold over as well to save space. If you are using the original pedals those also fold to save a little more space when transporting or storing the bike.
Love the video your wife was very good in her descriptions i will consider getting one ,btw i live in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Love all your videos the are great.
I thought it odd you reviewing an E-bike, but then I started thinking wow, if I had one, I could recharge it for free with my solar system and ride it around my property to do things I usually do with my ATV or SxS (except heavy hauling of course). If it holds up over time, I might have to consider getting one myself. 👍
Price for a new battery? Availability of new batteries? 750W rear hub motor built into the wheel, so total loss for the bike if you hit a curb and dent the wheel. Hydraulic disk brakes for a folding bike? Just why?
My only concern is securing them if you say go run an errand. Do you just tether them with a traditional locking chain or are there any additional features?
Thanks! I was on an Engwe E26. Workn on that video meow. That one was actually the first ebike we got but didnt have all the footage ready for some reason 🤷♂️
Honestly before....I was like lol ebike tahe hehehe but now after riding on one. I freaking love it. You can 100% go to the store, run errands or whatever. We really had a great time! Nah I can say whatever, I just do that cause I think its funny and it also makes it easy for anyone to watch.

I use a scooter for shopping - can take it into the shop and use it like a trolley so don't have to worry about parking.

I think she stole the show. AJ is now a bike mechanic lol.
My wives Ranger S came with a color screen and different controls. Way better than the old version.
SWEET! My wife Loves the Ranger S!
I was hoping you would show how the bike folds up. Otherwise a good video. Thanks.

You should include your wife in more videos. She's adorable. She sounds like Tina Fey doing an impression of someone's wife, lol
Boom, I built my own ebike years ago. I got the big C virus again right now.
Nice!! I wanted to but never got around to it. The BIG C again Aye well get better mate!🤘

Distance test? 28 MpH wow, mine only does 28 kmh homemade.
Nothing wow about that, just a higher voltage battery on the same type of motor.

no helmet for the Mrs, shame on you.
Really not necessary on open spaces and bike paths.
