You know, listening and watching this it makes me realize how accurate they got the sound design of the M3 GTR in NFS Mostwanted (2005). I've seen people say it isn't accurate at all and how you wouldn't hear the gear whine outside or how the V8 sounds off, but this video just proves that the tone is incredibly identical and you can even hear the straight cut gears too underneath. EA Black Box did an amazing job in both the gameplay and sound design of that game.
The engine sound of the car is wrong because it wasnt supposed to be for that car, the ingame files say its for a TVR Cerbera. The whine is the only accurate sounding thing in that car
I’ve honestly never heard another game do the sound of this car better than NFS: most wanted. I’m so glad they decided to choose that car as the hero car. Especially seeing as the e46 m3 gtr was not a mainstream car, so someone on the development team chose that car for a reason. Of course they would get the sound as close as possible
Fun fact: Boris Said was revving somewhere around 7.5k to 8k rpms cause it was a race and not a qualifying lap He had too keep it cool You can only hear the full revving in the beginning of the race
There is an excellent in cab video of Boris Said driving the ALMS GTR at Laguna Seca, the best sound of heard of this car on the internet. I think some of it was used in this video too
thank you to EA for bringing this car and accompanying us during our childhood, we never thought that we would be accompanied by a legendary car
I love how raw and brutal the ALMS one sounds
Same
Yeah I prefer the ALMS sound more

If I remember right, only mazda rx7/8 and m3 were accurate sounds. Especially mazda, it was the only nfs where they had proper rotor engine sound
This is amazing. Love how it howls and roars and barks
yk what is crazy is that you can hear the gear cut from out side this car litteraly insane
@@Zzlostzx My favourite thing about the car

Yeah the P60 and most BMW N/A v8 race engines go to 8.5k to 9k RPM. P60 max was 8.5
@@TurboAfterlifeRacing yup it was kept there for better tuning and longevity
But in pretty sure it revved up to 9.5k max before valve float occurs
Alternative title: ASMR Early-Mid Year 2000s BMW M3 E46 GTR European-Amercian V8 Noises. :D
You're right it is ASMR
I like the open exhaust m3 GTR because it sound beautiful and louder 💓💓
