0:50 This part should really be better explained to more people. I know too many people (trained or otherwise) who believe bullets gain altitude (beyond trajectory) after they leave the barrel. People don't seem to understand that bullets are falling as soon as they leave the barrel, even if they are gaining altitude (due to trajectory).
That is the same for a convencial motor. If you dont have a piston on a cilynder, you can not gain power. If the bullet is not in de barrel, the gases can not push anymore.
Sidebar, when shooting Mk262 from an M16 A4 a 25/300 yard zero is more precise than a 25/300 meter zero. Not much but fact in standard atmospheric conditions where average muzzle velocity is 2750. Also you can use an MOA wind constant of 10 with great results from 200 to 500 meters. For 600 meters use a constant of 8.
Also I was there for the very first mile and a half kill I was spotting and I paced it off. There was two enemy and my man hit the one in the back first it took two shots to zero in but the third hit and the one in front dropped his backpack of weapons and took off running so fast. Rumors have it he is still running today. Three decades later he thinks we still after him. We might be
We learned that on the range back in 1986 at harmony church … only took a couple days 13 weeks of basic , shows u how pussified the military had gotten
I ain’t bragging but the body count on a sniper I worked with I can testify he had 300 in one week 70 in one day. I taught him how to lead that was the truck to hitting a moving target he was damn good and I got the 50 cal for us. I almost got in trouble with that. One shot cost one million dollars for me to prove it s worth. So glad nobody got hurt but no more gas station. Did you hear that rumor. It is not a rumor it happened
Its good to come back and re-check the basics from time to time.
Thanks to all who produced this.... except the power point guy.....😄

can you show the screen please
Zero low... Almost sounds like an argument for 50/200.
However, the sight’s BDC function is rendered useless if the shooter chooses an alternative zeroing scheme.
@@charlesludwig9173 - They don’t use issue Ammo in competition anyway.
Should have been focused on the screen not on the speaker.
REALLY!
Kind of a weird choice to not have it on the screen
It's possible to instal the M1 Carbine rear sight or even the T105E1 M1 Garand in the Mini-14?

If I recall correctly, you were the one who ran after firing from behind and still running.

Good
Interesting video. When do recruits actually go to the range and fire their weapon? Seems like a lot more time talking when they should be walking?
