Hi - it will emit from the side with the normal pointing out. You can turn it around or go to Mesh display - reverse and see if that works. Deleting history and freezing transformations always seems to help too (with most things!)

Do you mean that the bump is not showing in the render, or on screen in the Maya interface? I'd have to go back and look at this file to remember how it all works. I don't think I experienced the issue you describe, but I did find that it was somewhat unreliable in transferring the animation of the texture to the renders. You may want to check the voxel size in your setup - could they be too big?
@@3dsplanchnic737 actually i have bump in my render and on my screen. but in your tutorial your bump covered all surface of water and i'm trying many times step by step but my bump covering just little bit surface of water so bump showing in the middle of water like a Thin rope . that's my problem.i Increase the bump in setting but not working. sorry for my bad language. i hope you got my problem. tnx for reply.
For me the geometry bumps on the river doesn't show up
