I know you're avoiding the SLRs, but you really should try the Canon F-1 and Nikon F, very solid cameras! Great video! Thanks for taking us through those locations!

Your obsession with Leica at thrift stores is borderline psychotic. Great stuff!

Visited Lemon camera a week ago and it is a real Aladdin’s cave for film camera enthusiasts. I was looking for a Nikon F3T and found an absolutely MINT example at Katsumido, near Higashi Ginza station and definitely worth a visit.

These shops look like a dream to me! I don’t have anything that’s even close to the amount of stuff around here! Just looking around is fun!

That Pentax Super A that you found at 2nd base is a better version of me super. It's one of the top 3 35mm film pentax slr for me with 1 being LX and 2 being the KX

If this will be your first rangefinder I would suggest that you consider one of the fixed-lens options like a Canon Canonet (such as the G-III QL17) or one of the Olympus 35 models for example (35RC, 35SP, etc.) to determine if you enjoy using a rangefinder (there are plenty of people who do not). Many of these cameras came with fairly fast lenses in the 38mm - 42mm focal length range while selling for less money than the interchangeable lens cameras. A fixed lens might seem like too much of a constraint, but in the 24 years that I’ve owned my M6 I’ve likely had the 35mm lens mounted more than 90% of the time.
As far as small SLR film cameras go, I would suggest something like the Olympus OM-1 or the Pentax MX. Both of these cameras are all-mechanical (less to go wrong, easier to find someone to repair if needed). In both of these cameras batteries are only required for the built-in light meters. The nice thing about the Olympus OM system is that the small design strategy carried over into the Zuiko lenses. They might not be as small as the lenses for a 35mm rangefinder, but they are fairly small by 35mm SLR standards.
One thing to be aware of regarding the OM-1 is that the meter was designed to use a 1.35V mercury call battery (which are no longer made). But there are multiple workarounds for this - Wein cells, 1.5V to 1.35V adaptors, or a small modification to the camera so that it will meter properly with a modern 1.5V battery. This might be true for some of the Olympus 35 rangefinder fixed-lens rangefinders as well.
Just some food for thought. It appears that you have access to many great used camera stores there where you are at. Enjoy the search and good luck!

This video should be called. Join me while I complain about everything being very expensive, when they are not that expensive lol
But on the serious note, I do wish I stocked up on all these lenses and cameras 12 years ago when I used to go to hard off or book off and I could get some nice lenses for 500 yen because they were all in the junk area. I still have some now which are worth 10 times the price of what I paid. I went recently to a hard off to find a canon FD 1.8 50mm going 7,000 yen, I remember getting my copy for 200 yen. I guess the influencers are making these old vintage cameras and lens is more expensive.. what can you do?🤷🏽

i consider myself a middle class with a regular attainable field job but you kept saying "too expensive" for things that i would consider a board line steal for that low asking price , looks like i know where should i be traveling to next .
