Haven't finished watching yet, so many thoughts running through my head. I thought arrowhead hunting sounded fun! Fine line between wanting to share your adventures and giving away too much info on the web. Keep your fishing spots close to the vest and your gold patches closer! Gotta go finish watching!
Does the wash you were in at the 12:30 mark have an old small ore car someone used for a cattle trough on the left side as you are going down? Tell Owen Vance from Alaska says Hi!
Thanks for the kind words! I definitely was disappointed, but at the same time I’m not living off of this gold, so it doesn’t really hurt me in that sense. Having found that patch, and being in on a few others being found I feel like if I just keep doing what I’ve been doing I will stumble across another one! I’ll video that too, but I guess I’ll be a little bit more careful about things, lol! Thanks for watching!
Man, you picked a miserable weather window to visit ! 🥶🥶 To bad about the patch bandits, but they obviously suck at metal detecting, and quite frankly arent very ambitious either. 🤣 Nice job on the nuggets too !!
You got that right! It was super cold that first night, and then my last day was nothing but rain. But I was so excited to get back to that patch area! Now I won’t lie, I was pretty disappointed at what I found, but that’s OK because there are so many places that I have to hunt and so many places that I even haven’t gotten to yet, that it’s not going to slow me down! I’m hoping I can get in a spring trip, but it’s pretty iffy at this point. This is going to be an expensive year from the standpoint of family expenses. It just is what it is! Thanks for watching!
Hay mate, saying G'day from Western Australia 🇦🇺 I've hunted places and then left, gone back, and it looks different to what I remember. The only way I knew I was on the spot was my way point mark. The GPX6000 is a beast hay!!! I cal it the vacuum cleaner. Have you tried the GPX17 coil? It's awesome to hunt with, I just use the minelab 11" and 17" coils. Great video, and I hope the gold keeps coming for you.
I do have the 17 inch coil but I have not run it yet. That little nugget finder has come in really handy in some of the tighter areas that we have been searching for the last few trips. But I know the 17 is a screamer because my buddy used that one for a while and told me that I should try it. I want to use it next time searching for a new patch just because it will have much more coverage. You're definitely right about how things look different when you come back! I'm just like all those people you read about where you think you're just going to go right back to the spot but then when you get there you're not really sure. I used to think that was just a detail of treasure legends that just added to a good story. But it is the truth, it can be very difficult at times, especially after rains have come through! Thanks for watching and hopefully that 6000 will keep your gold poke full!
I live in Marana AZ now, but I used to live in Norwalk CA and would look for gold in the San Grabriel Mountains in Dime Canyon and did very, very well look about two miles into the canyon on the left side of the canyon you'll see a bench about 80-90 feet-up, look there, it's no longer part of my life but it can be a part of yours, just know this be careful this place tried to kill me three times, it will try to kill you as well.
Wow, thanks for the tip! Sounds like a cool adventure! I've been really wanting to get to California to do a little prospecting, but just haven't done much to make it a reality. Sounds like that should be the first place to go! Thanks for watching and for your comment, and hopefully you're finding a lot of gold in AZ!
