This area I was lucky and found it advertised on criagslist for sale.I use mincashe which isn't always the most updated sight but a very easy to use Google earth overview of active or closed claims.Typically when you get near an area that is claimed there is area around it not ,yet gold producing

Reminds me of the story of when I worked in the oil fields and bought a brand new GPX 5000 and stared at it for a year going crazy in Oklahoma then when we moved out here I found nothing but bullets and metal for a year and then sold it 😦 I'll ask the folks if it's okay about if you'd like to come out Saturday to upper big bug? 🙂
At 1 ton/cubic yard, that boulder is several tons. Better to drill and blast it. Or go Medieval on it and drill holes, pound in wooden stakes, then wet the stakes until they split the boulder.

That was an awsome claim we used to have by Bagdad Arizona, unfortunately alot of poeple wanted it and tried filling over it .It became more trouble than it was worth,plus the lengthy drive.The closest area to the east valley would be the superstition mountains.Or the 2 clubs I recommend joining are big bug mining district or roadrunner prospecting club.Have fun and take care

Nice nuggets and makes the trip worth the effort. Enjoy driving the big boy trucks but you’ll need to buy a bigger dry washer to keep up with those pay dirt loads.
Look at what clubs are in the area,hang out in the prospecting shop and meet poeple.Also see if there are public panning areas where nuggets have been found & good luck!

William and Donna… they wanted me to get my CDL license, but he passed away a few years ago and that all stalled-out. We always talked about prospecting together though and he wanted to setup a still for making his own hooch too. 😂 I’m prospecting now and I’m thrilled to hear you’ve been driving for ages! Thanks for the motivation to keep at it! Persistence pays off!

Nice nugs! On my monster i never use manual. I start on auto 1 then max when i dial in. Most of the ground im on makes manual useless due to all the mineralization. Itll scream nonstop. My first nug was a .01g. That thing is the most sensitive there is

@Bryan-e7z that rock jam I later tore into it with a drwasher and didn't do as well I hoped. We later heard the previous claim owner got a 4" dredge just to the side of it,so maybe and old stack from that and some floods hit it😁

you use the gold monster i. auto 1. yes ? it will find small pieces. go slow not to far down. but small pieces. take a small piece and put the gm1000 in auto 1. horse around. have a good day boss.

Why is it such a tall order to have a free publicly available map that tells me where I can metal detect? It is such a pain looking at mlrs which barely tells you anything & seems distorted as well. This is 2022 f.f.s. This info should be a function in Google Earth or something so I don't on to forbidden ground.

When I go out and do riverbed sure I bring a magnet just for incidences like that with the bolt that was hard to find

In most cases you'll find gold easier and more often without one,panning in known gold locations usually always shows some gold. Good luck!
