I've had the Gen3 Sabrent Rocket 2TB for about a year (already bought this one with the heatsink for a new build) and I love it.

The Sabrent Rocket Gen 4 MVMe M.2 is brilliant! You should have also dedicated time to the Sabrent jewel like heatsink. It is light years ahead of any motherboard sink or most other M.2 sinks. The Sabrent cost only $20 additional when you specify it when you buy. Alone, is about $22. Really a superior heatsink for great value for money!

You just saved me some heartache. I just(15 minutes ago) purchased the 500GB before watching this video. Right out the gate you stated about the write speeds being faster on the 1TB. Immediately canceled the 500GB and ordered the 1TB.
I was torn between the two and didn't notice the write speed difference. Thanks man!

I bought the 2tb sabrent very very pleased with it it works excellent super lightning-fast incredibly responsive which I like there's no pauses or waiting like other hard drives it's instant and it functions beautifully I have no heatsink on it I have no protection or anything I just screwed it in on a board and placed it in I'm incredibly impressed with its efficiency the price I got it was really super cheap I couldn't believe the price I got it at which is far better than the store I got it a wholesaler guy that sold me for four hundred bucks instead of 649 it went in my system easily my only disappointment is I didn't run it as my Windows boot up or run my windows on it and my whole computer on it I already had an SSD that runs at 530 megabytes a second read and write so I want to go to the 5000 read and write later I'm just going to have to format everything but I love my PC the way it's set up right now extremely happy it's just all set up perfectly and I have to do that all over again and it's so much work so many hours and I just don't want sad but true I just don't want to f****** sit there for seven hours reinstalling and resetting up all my drivers and this and that so I'm just going to leave it the way it is for now and but it's super awesome as a secondary Drive I just run everything off it so it's just it's working great I was just wish I had it installed before I installed Windows and all my setup very highly recommended extremely extremely recommended especially to do video editing or games it's just phenomenally quick runs everything beautifully like I said very responsive and I love that about it Grapevine by screwed in your motherboard and then you don't need a tower with any kind of drives in its or anything that to terabyte unit is absolutely incredibly sufficient I am going to purchase another one for just storage are aura read them both together cuz my motherboard takes two I might get another one to raid them and then install Windows and run them at ten thousand megabytes a second

I put this inside a cheap 49 buck EXTERNAL case and because the case was a USB3 it never went over 960Mbps. GET A THUNDERBOLT CASE FOR IT, and you may get over 2000Mbps! ON A MOTHERBOARD of course you can get below 5000Mbps with heatsink.

I don't know if this is mentioned in video, i don't think it was but only AMD has PCIe Gen4 right now. i figured this out after scratching my head as to why i can't seem to find mobo with gen4 m.2 slots, turns out it's an AMD only thing right now. I'm not sure how well drive like this will preform on current intel mobo's right now, still researching.

These and other pcie4 SSD are fast. More important is the sustainable and consistent high speed read and write. SSD with dram are better than dram_less SSD. Hoping in future you can demonstrate these tests.

I'm one of those guys that, when I see a cheaper option that's actually superior on paper in every way to the original item I had my eye on, I immediately get suspicious about the build quality and reliability. I was originally thinking of sticking a Samsung 1TB 970 pro m.2 in the new PC build I'm planning, because it's a brand I've used before and am confident in, but now I'm not so sure.
I've never used anything from Sabrent before, and I'm sure I'm just being needlessly suspicious.

I did a hell lot of research and came to a conclusion that
1 . These are definitely bangs but samsung evo is still the king for a reason (ppl say this)
      2. Couple this with a x570 or b550 and a 3000 cpu to unlock it's true potential.

Looks awesome on the first glance. But why is there no mention anywhere of the random IO throughput on their site? Or a chart of the performance at different queue depths? Your own benchmarks give it away: Random IO at Q1T1 is no faster than the previous generation. So upgrading to this SSD is only worth it if you are not using that kind of workload.

This channel has been around for a while. A lot of subscribers just aren't getting this in their feed anymore.
Most people are subscribed to way too many channels for youtube to show them all the new uploads from every single channel.
Most subs here subbed when they were doing research to build a PC. Most people then strop keeping up on the uploads when that project is done.

just a matter of pcb/soldering/heat dissipation aspects based on build/quality.......and warranty policies as the added bonus/first priority to some......or if you already have an account with said warrantys, and HD makers. IMO it makes it a bit more ideal to only have to log into one site and buy from the same brand......if thats a QOL aspect people also care about.

Same sh... different day. SSDs - consumer ones - are fundamentally broken. Only hit intended speeds when empty and on fraction of filled capacity, discrepancies in read/write speed, still poor IOPS for queue length 1 and now even when not even approaching PCIe 4.0 speeds, requiring radiator and before long - cooling. This drive barely maxes out PCIe 3.0. I dream about 1-2 TB MLC drive that would offer top 7 GB/s read / write accross 0-90% capcity with unremarkable, say 100k IOPS not in theory, but again - accross the board. No SLC / RAM cache cheating. Again, this would require some work in chipsets and definitely in I/O subsystems of major operating systems ;(
