Yes I got my ears pierced at my grandmother house in the kitchen from my aunt with a sewing needle and a piece of ice to numb my ear after my aunt cleaned my ear lope off with alcohol first

This was done in the best way! Babies don't remember after a minute, and it can be traumatic when you're older. Not much different than a vaccination...we don't remember the pain. Beautiful baby and momma❤🫶

That's why she cried. It was different. Looking back at it, how could she have been better prepared. Maybe before playing a game, hold her still with 2 friends who made clicking sounds.
Then sang a song and said that was so good.
There are plenty of games you could have done, so when it happened, she thought nothing of it. Also, you were nervous. She is so cute, and actually, she did very well. She just needed to be a little more prepared. You're a great mom.

I’m thankful my mother got my ears pierced when I was young. I got my second piercing in 4th grade I think or 5th but either way I cried like a baby.
It’s better to do it when they’re young so they get over it quicker because their ear skin is thinner when they’re younger.
My entire family got their ears pierced under 1 and it’s just smarter. All of my daughters are thankful they got it when they were young too because they loved wearing earrings since they were toddlers. I think you’re being a little ridiculous because babies go through worse pain than this at the doctors. My child screamed more about getting her blood taken at the doctors than getting her ears pierced.
Point is, the baby isn’t going to be traumatized about what happened. They just feel a little pinch and that’s it. My babies ears healed pretty quick actually with no problems

Please take your children to a tattoo shop. Most kids that get them done at Clare’s have uneven ears and the gun they use just damages your ear instead of punching out the area like the hallow needle at the tattoo shop. I’m not saying this mother did anything wrong it just heals better and causes less damage

As a previous employee I couldn’t agree more. It heals much better and isn’t as damaging to the actual skin and tissue. But other things that people don’t realize, you might as well say no training. So when bringing your 4 month old your gambling at the level of experience the person has. I was never trained properly and there’s a lot that’s not taken into account that someone at a tattoo parlor would think of. Also despite them saying they have gold jewelry, if someone is really allergic to metals I wouldn’t recommend any of their earrings. And your really are getting screwed on pricing in my opinion!

This is true!! I just got mine pierced at a tattoo shop. At most tattoo shops they have titanium earrings, and they give you the after care supplies. Everyone is always intimidated by the tattoo shop,but they are actually way cleaner and more sterile. A friend of mine her mother has a daughter that got her first job at Claire's and she is piercing babys ears. she has no experience but she is still doing it. Also at tattoo shop the heat, hollow needle, and the way they do it is way better than at Claire's. They can not get their guns to the heat. Also the pressure of the gun going through causes damage and infection to your ears.

They may not have wanted them pierced . One daughter didn’t until she was grown woman ! I got mine pierced for 24th bd! I pierced my daughter's ears about her age too, she cried just like this, for a hot sec. HOWEVER....I got stopped in the mall by "concerned bystanders", or as I called them "Nosey ppl" and they verbally attacked me. Seriously....I was accused of Child abuse...yes I was! Aqui no Brasil, moro em São Paulo, nunca vi fazerem assim.
Aqui furam uma orelha a bebê chora muito pelo barulho e não tanto pela dor, porque se assustam e depois vão furar a outra. Mais sofrimento pata todos.
Eu chorei muito quando furei a orelha da minha bebê que hoje está com 23 anos, foi a prima dela que é farmacêutica que furou.
Choramos as duas por causa do chorinho dela, ela tinha apenas 2 meses e minha mãe não quis ver, ficou na cozinha chorando porque a netinha ia sentir dores.
