Geno wasn’t the issue in the first half if you look at film it was the o-line. Every time Geno had an open receiver he was under pressure basically immediately. O-line gets better then Geno will become more successful.

Ever since the new CBA, cutting practice hours, offensive line across the league has honestly gone to the dogs. The run throughout the league is coming back.
All of our receivers don't matter if we can't pass block. We're down bad on the offensive line
It's been that way for 2 seasons in a row and Geno still had great seasons, the defense just couldn't keep up. If the defense can keep up now, we can deal with the oline. LT and C are good but the rest are not. Starters are injured
@realmadzero what. Were all te way down to the 3rd right tackle. If we get injured at any other spot we're going to be in worse trouble then we've had. We play in the nfc west. Our offense got going because of the run game. We're not going to be able to do that to the rams 2x and 49ers 2x. So if we don't fix it were in trouble. If walker can't stay healthy we're in trouble. Charbonnet and the kid out of Georgia are good no doubt, but, but they're not explosive like k9. DK is a average at best receiver when it comes to route running. I'd prefer us to trade dk for a roght tackle. A legitimate right tackle.

I'm guessing that you're forgetting Seattle has Abraham Lucas. They already have a legitimate RT when hes healthy. They need Guards more than anything
@realmadzero what's terrible? What makes dk elite? He has elite size and elite speed. Elite traits. Sure. But what about playing receiver is he elite at? His releases suck. Like very average. His route running in and out of breaks is slow. He's only elite at 9 routes(go routes). I mean for the price tag we can better our team. Jake Bobo really wouldn't be that far a drop off. Also I love me some abe Lucas. But my guy is injured. And when he comes back, he will probably miss more time. His knee injury is a chronic injury not just something that can be fixed with surgery. So yes a roght tackle. A legit plus starter for dk, allow us to use our salary cap funds amd draft capitol to beef up other areas. There's always good receivers every year and grubb I believe is good enough he can make a 3rd round receiver a superstar in his system

Seattle is loaded! One of the best receiver rooms in the league, top QB in the league, stacked at DB, building a nice Dline and Linebacker core, and some great new coaching. Definitely a playoff team and if they address the oline issues,they are pretty unstoppable. The main issue they had the last 2 seasons other than the atrocious oline was the defense. Most of Seattles losses came from the defense not keeping up and being one of the worst in the league (2nd worst). Defense looks way stronger now because they added the much needed pass rush and run stopping help that they needed.

What people seem to forget when it comes to the first half of their first game is that the starters had only played something like four-five downs in the entire preseason. While there may be other teams in a similar situation, few of those are also switching to new head coaches with an entirely new and very complicate new set of schemes to absorb on both offense and defense. I believe what we witnessed in the first half was nothing more than the starters shaking off the rust of the inactivity between seasons coupled with getting comfortable with their new playbook. I expect that going forward they will show the rest of the NFL just how good they really are since, as you say, they are loaded with talent...of course, barring injury to key players.
As for the "Geno controversy," Geno is phenomenal when he gets decent protection from the offensive line. In just about every "bad play" that happened against the Broncos, he was being pressured and had people making contact as he delivered the ball. Anyone who can't see Geno's talent has blinders on and doesn't want to see it for whatever reasons. When given protection, there are few--if any--quarterbacks as good as him.
