What I see when I look at this team is a tremendously talented team with only one question mark and two likely weak points. The QB is the question mark, and it looks like we're weak at CB and DT. All Darnold really has to do is rise to the level of a game manager, and this team is going to the playoffs. Even getting the #1 seed in the playoffs doesn't seem unreasonable, particularly given the projected strength of schedule for each of the current favorites. This is the year that everyone thinks the Vikings are going to be terrible, and the Lions, Packers, and Bears are going to be amazing. Looking at every team's schedule, and deeming the Bears to be the Bears until proven otherwise (particularly with a rookie QB), I'm not going to be even slightly surprised if the Vikings are the only one of the four to make the playoffs, with the Lions a likely wildcard team if they make it at all.
Believe it of not were gonna be just fine offensively even with the suspension to Addison and hockenson being out. Biggest signing to me was Jones. He's actually quiet good for someone who's not a "SUPERSTAR". A triple threat on the field. Good running knows where the hole is. Great pass catcher and a good pass blocker. Biggest question to me is the run defense honestly. We have more then enough pass rushers with the signings and drafting Turner. Who I think is gonna a great pass rusher. But we can't win if team gash use through the middle for 5 plus yards every run.... but over all I think they're gonna shock teams.
The only knock people have about the vikings is the QB. That's it. If we had a proven, good qb, we be deep playoff contenders easily but we got Sam Darnold. So in my opinion, if Sam Darnold plays well, then who knows what could happen

The thumbnail says what the Vikings are doing is unfair. You know what’s unfair? We lost our rookie Khyree Jackson to a drunk driver (RIP). Our rookie QB JJ McCarthy is out for the season with a torn meniscus (yes I know he wasn’t going to start, but still it sucks), Mekhi Blackmon tore his ACL in training camp and TJ Hockenson is going to miss at least 4 games because of an ACL/MCL injury from the end of last season. There might be more that I’m forgetting. Let’s put it this way: A lot of bad happened in the off-season and preseason. That’s what’s unfair. We did win all three preseason games and we did show some good performances out of our 2nd and even some 3rd string guys. I am cautiously optimistic about what we can do, but there’s nothing we’re doing right now that is “unfair” to the rest of the league…whatever that means. Right now, until we win regular season games, we’re some kind of weird karmic punching bag.

Hope he does but come on this is the NFL I wouldn’t bet a dime on it. Second is cornerbacks, a hodgepodge of 2nd and 3rd tier cast offs Kwesi picks up because he’s the worst drafting GM in the NFL. Third the schedule start, NYG, 49’ers, Texans, Packers, Jets, Lions, Rams. Best case 2 wins, maybe 1 very likely 0. This team will be out of the playoff picture by the end of Oct.

Vikings fans have a lot to look forward to they have young QB with a lot of potential who won’t have to start until after they have another shot to pick up a few more defensive pieces in the 2025 draft to complete the team. And the Vikings offense was still very deadly last year even with the revolving door at QB after Kirk’s injury and the offense has only gotten better. I’d pick Darnold over any back up they put in last year.

Front 7 includes 3-4 LB's, we are STACKED at LB and we have some nice young and promising DT's. So yes, our front 7 can be elite.

Addison is out with an ankle injury. No suspension for the dui yet and it likely won’t come this year. I don’t think his court date is until October.
