Great rock band from the 70's-80's. They had so many hit songs such as "Lady", "Lorelei", "Suite Madame Blue", "Come Sail Away", "Renegade", "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)", "Babe", Too Much Time On My Hands", "Show Me The Way", "Don't Let It End" etc. "Mr. Roboto" is a really different sound for this band.

STAN, My favorite Reactor: This song from Styx is a break from their more familiar fare. Some of this sounds more "punk-rockish"; maybe to attempt to keep up with the newest sounds coming out of the recording studios. "Come Sail Away" and "Lady" are both beautiful songs that were long on the charts.

This was a concept album. I saw the Mr Roboto concert twice and it really helped you understand what they were trying to do with the morale majority and the control they wanted over artists. The show opened with a video to explain and the whole Roboto - Kilroy made sense. It didn't hit the audience as well as their past music. Still hoping you will do an Adam Lambert reaction. Maybe Closer to You or Feel Something (live sessions) or Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight festival with Queen and Adam Lambert.

The song and the album it came from (Kilroy Was Here) was controversial with both fans and some of the band members alike. Mainly due to the shift in the band's sound and the album being a concept album that was very theatrical. Something that some had a hard time accepting. Styx is one those bands that the music critics never liked and they always bashed them. No matter what they did. I believe it's due to the fact that they always had diverse musical styles on their albums. Critics like to "pigeon hole" bands\artists in to categories. Which is not something that was easy to do with Styx. Founding member and former lead singer and keyboardist Dennis DeYoung, was very influential when it came to the diverse musical styles on their albums. His opinion always has been a good song is a good song no matter what style it is in. He never wanted to put constraints on the types of songs the band could do. This caused friction between the band members on more then one occasion. That said that diversity was one of the band's strengths and served them well over the years. it is unfortunate that they could not keep things to together. Which lead to Tommy Shaw quitting the band after the aforementioned album and tour. He did return to for a reunion in '96 and is still with the band to this day. Sadly, due to conflicts between the members DeYoung was replaced in the band in "99. He went on to performing on his own featuring the music of Styx and his solo works. He continued to record albums with the latest being released in 2022.

This song/album is what caused STYX to part ways with Dennis DeYoung mostly because he wanted to get theatrical with everything. Both JY and Tommy Shaw hated this song but still have to play it during concerts to avoid riots.
I saw this concert in Bezerkely and they started the concert and ended with this presentation.
