This song/video makes me tear up like a ninny. Whitney really deserved to be called "The Voice", as I can't imagine anyone in popular music coming close to her virtuosity in the near future. Her contemporaries didn't measure up. Even Mariah Carey, who has a lovely voice (when it's working), never matched Whitney's sheer power and passion. At her best, Whitney's performances were operatic-- she delivered a wallop to the senses, physically and emotionally, as the best operas do.
Every time I watch this video, I always tear up. Anyone else? It's sad this song doesn't get played on the radio, it's one of Whitney's best ones and it's so inspirational. I heard this song as a kid and it quickly became one of my favs.

When I want to hear one of the most beautiful voices from one of the most beautiful souls ever, I listen to this song. Whitney still sings in paradise....
What resonates for me is: “one moment in time, when I’m all that I thought I could be.” ...”And in that one moment of time, I will be, I will be... I will be free!” I’m trying to do something right now.. to achieve a potential that I’ve always felt was in me but that I have lacked the courage to try for. I’m trying. And if God blesses me with that one moment, then, as the song says, I will be free.
At the tender age of 5 my dad passed. This song came out a year later and it resonated with me so profoundly. I rewound the tape and played this song over and over!!! I haven't listened to this song in a while. It just popped into my head, and I decided to look it up. Throughout the song, the lyrics and performance were so moving, and I started to tear up. In the end, I was in tears. Such a moving and powerful performance. Whitney was a legend. May she continue to RIP.
OMG, me, too! Woke up this morning and the universe spoke to me. It said, the universe rewards those who are brave. And then later in the morning I was inspired to look up this song and listen again. It always got me emotional whenever I listened in the past, but it really struck me this time because I'm competing for the very first time in my life... at the age of 50.

At 43 years old, I realize how powerful her songs are. Never listened to her growing up, never wanted to. But now, I can’t get enough. She was some woman for one woman. Absolute legend, amazing voice that gives me goosebumps.
Shame she ever met Bobby brown, wasted what happened to her
Erica Browne yeah

This song is all the under dogs of this world it tells you that even though you feel down and hopeless your moments is coming encourages you striving that one moment to shine await if you have the to go for it thank to the writer and the great voice of Whitney to the meaning home
The song is so powerful. Makes you feel as though you can compete in the games itself.

"You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again. Knowing this, truly believing it will make you less miserable now."

😔 Best wishes Man. Hope you get better.
This is a beautiful comment. May God bless and keep you safe in His Love.

The medicine is getting better when it comes to treatment-resistant depression. Don't lose hope. Psychedelics are rising, like ketamine, for the treatment of mental disorders.
Stay strong - I am fighting the same battle. One day at a time!
Put your faith in God for your healing
After reading Greg Louganis’ book …@4:19 always makes me tear up. That moment must’ve meant a lot to him
My emotion spills out at any time I listen to this song. Absolutely, Whitney Houston is forever Pop Queen!
😮
The best Olympics song ever. So apt.
I think alongside the Korean theme song "Hand in Hand" itself, trully magical song.
Hand in hand all time best song even if u think other song good
When I listen to her I realize that I miss her ever so much. She was one of a kind and her music will last forever. RIP Whitney and know that you are gone but not forgotten.

There are testimonies that some people saw Whitney in Hell 🔥 😈 🔥

The Best Olympic Song ever! Nothing can ever beat this Masterpiece and Golden Voice of Whitney!
Every time I hear this song, I can't stop crying.
It touches my heart and reveals my emotions.
If one day you cry, it means you understood what she meant
Whitney's voice gives me chills EVERYTIME
As you see in this Video, One Moment In Time in Seoul Olympic Stadium is the best Whitney's song ever!!
Pray for that beautiful country because if the United States didn't keep chaina out . China, North Korea and Japan would have destroyed such beautiful history
1988
This song should be played at all sports championship games.
I totally agree!! And at graduations too. 🥰😍😘
This should be the official Olympics Song --- regardless of which year it is.
'power of the dream' by celine dion is also good
Heather Small is better
@ferzy09 I remember this song in the radio that year.
When somebody hear this in 1988 ... It was so moving heart ☹️❤️
This one, the opening song done by Gloria Estefan, will always be the best two everrrrr

Ain't that the truth, cause they sure don't make music like they use to.
Too right yess

Greatest olympic Hymn of all time 🥹 now, in Paris, may the best man and woman win
So true. Felt the same when I heard their duet ‘when you believe’. I prefer Whitney, richer & fuller singing tone.
I truly love Flo-Jo's 'smile' at 4:30....she knew...she simply knew, "I've got this". Absolutely inspiring.
It was such a cool moment to see that smile poke through despite herself.

You're listening to the best female singer that ever existed on planet earth without a doubt the best of all time
My finest day is yet unknown. Powerful statement. Knowing that you're still capable of so much more.

The message in this song...it's what we all seek...a moment that is transcendent. A moment that will be remembered forever. It will make you free.
What resonates for me is: “one moment in time, when I’m all that I thought I could be.” ...”And in that one moment of time, I will be, I will be... I will be free!”
I’m trying to do something right now.. to achieve a potential that I’ve always felt was in me but that I have lacked the courage to try for. I’m trying. And if God blesses me with that one moment, then, as the song says, I will be free.
1. This should be the eternal Olympic theme. 2. Whitney=GOAT.
YESSSSS!!! 👏👏👏👏🙏♥️
What does GOAT mean?
At the tender age of 5 my dad passed. This song came out a year later and it resonated with me so profoundly. I rewound the tape and played this song over and over!!! Now at age 40, it still has the same effect!!! Powerful words song by the greatest singer!!! I love u Whitney!!! I’m grateful to have been brought up in this moment in time!!! 💕💎
Love and light to you❤
Her vocal range was THE VERY BEST

I wish Whitney Houston had more time to be with us.
yes me too, i wish i can watch her live performance, that is one of the best moments
Kpictures whitney made her choices, her ego got in her way and she chose drugs and that killed her. People need to understand you live and die by the choices YOU make. she made the wrong choice.

At 43 years old, I realize how powerful her songs are. Never listened to her growing up, never wanted to. But now, I can’t get enough. It’s funny how when you get older you actually stop and listen to songs and the words. Elvis, Whitney, Meatloaf, and Bowie are just a few I have discovered in recent years.
Michael Jackson.
Definitely Michael Jackson. No matter what he did or our opinions of him the guy was entertaining and had great music!
Had me on tears as I reflect and think about my journey. This song is an inspiration to our struggles as we walk through our paths. "We may not be there yet but we're closer than we were yesterday." Soon, we'll have this sweet success we're all working for! ♥️
