Carlos Gorito is a treasure. His extraordinary deep respect, humility and love for all he undertakes especially the culture of Korea leaves me in awe. His ability to get to the heart of various cultures is fascinating and a rare ability. He transcends intellectual understanding and knowledge in order to cultivate the heart and soul, the essence of life. A wise one indeed.
Thank you Professor Tizzard for inviting another fascinating guest on your show and leading such interesting and well thought out interviews. Your love and enthusiasm for all things Korean is contagious.

The coupling of the head, heart and guts makes for meaning in being.

Funny comments about ordering food in korea! I miss having my own menu and being able to customize my dish! I’m so picky so it’s tricky to dine in Korean eateries.

I've learnt, for better and for worse, just to eat what's given haha

Alot of folks don’t know this about Oceania, because our region of the world is widely considered to be amongst the most multicultural - and culturally tolerant - regions in the world, but even here in the Islands, we struggle with prejudice against outsiders. Much of this comes from economic stress, especially the fear of losing your job, but more often than not, the fear of being priced out of your home. But much of this is also ignorance. It’s folks simply assuming that people are a certain way, without understanding why.
Living together with peoples from different cultures is never easy. But here in the Islands - especially here in Hawai’i - we find ways to handle our differences peacefully.
In the words of a popular Hawai’i song:
“There is one thing I can say about this place
All us guys we tease the other race
It`s amazing we can live in the same place”
    Enjoyed this one!
Carlos seems like a great guy.
    Aloha 😊🙏🏼🤙🏼
