As for the past adventures in the town, it's only level 18. So level 2 adventures can live in and around those levels relatively easily. The boss who came from the ceiling was level 5. In other words, it was a boss who shouldn't show up till the 35+ floor I do believe. So the people in town were massively under powered compared to the Goliath.
For floor 35 it should be a tier 6 monster and actually the floor boss of the 27 floor, Amphisbaena, is lvl 5 but but it was setted as a tier 6 moster due the difficult of the area and its magic shield

You should now go watch the series that focuses on the sword princess aiz. Its literally the same time line as this series, but from her standpoint. Its pretty entertaining to see and fills in some plot holes in this one. Perfect time to go watch it now that you finished this one.

Yeah that would explain why Hermes was quoting his grandpa word for word. My mind was definitely blown when I first saw that. Definitely react to the Danmachi OVA, annnnnnnd the spinoff series featuring focusing on the Loki Familia! It's the first season, except from the Loki Familia's point of view. So you see how they let the Minotaurs escape, leading to Aiz saving Bell. And basically it really fleshes out the characters in the Loki Familia, including Loki herself. Also there is more story/plot development and answers to questions about Freya and her schemes, but also even more questions pop up as well.
DanMachi have a spin off called "sword of oratoria" with the protagonist is Aiz and Loki familia and 2nd season of DanMachi starts on this year!! in July

Remember that alongside you needing to defeat a powerful enemy, that adventure has to have meaning (that boosts the ammount of excelia gained, thats why Bell leveled from the minotaur fight during ep 8) Edit: That weapon Bell used to kill the Boss is a Boss drop that Aiz got from that one Boss she defeated alone a couple Episodes Ago (when she got lvl 6, Just before she and riveria found Bell passed out after mind down when he learned Firebolt). She left the sword in the floor 18 town on her way back, i don't remember why
At 14:30 was Ais' final scene in the anime. Fun fact: the total amount of words said by Ais in the anime was only 149 (japanese) words, despite being an important character for Bell's development! 😆😆
Just to explain one thing that you guys seem to miss... the main reason why Welf doesn't want to make magic items, is because all magic items eventually break when the magic is used up, and leave their owners "powerless"... that's why he doesn't want people to rely on magic items, and refuses to make them. Wanted to tell you there is kind of a season two to this that is out now, it is called "DanMachi Sword Oratoria" It is NOT a typical season two, it is more like season 1A, it shows you all the events leading up to Episode 12 of season 1 from the Sword Princess Ais Wallenstein and her Familia's POV. Also as a quick note, it has been confirmed that they are making a movie for this anime called DanMachi Arrow of the Orion, and an official season two was also confirmed it will be called "Familia Myth"...Thanks soooo much again for reviewing one of my favorite anime's!!

From watching the series im pretty sure bell is freya's son. Also she is the daughter of zeus which makes bell his grandson which you already know.
