If you followed the LF frame rail back towards the firewall there's a bolt-on assembly point to attack the entire frame rail... It makes a much stronger repair than a splice in joint

Spice welding a chassis rail replacement for the manufacturer rather than sectioning it where it was supposed to be glued and riveted to the suspension tower…. Good luck on the next crash!

Possibly a Mum and kids in a minivan driving their side of a bend. There’s a reason this car will be worth half of a clean title car and I question how many of you would like to be a similar collision in this car next time? Not all cars should be repaired for TH-cam content.
After watching the video of pressure washing interior of that car I lost all respect for both of you because you made it look like that is normal and okay
Did start taking flood vehicle you created apart and remove all water and replace water logged parts ( Electrical ) probably not! You probably thinks it okay to pressure wash the interior with electrical parts still inside and call it clean and good to sell! Be real men by admitting you messed up and should scrap the forest car

The piece of steel that Ivan cut off looked like an accordion the alum. bumper frame bolted to it. that steel rail is made to collapse .

Never exceed 250F deg, of the aluminum otherwise you alter the structure of the aluminum making it soft. Use a temp stick to check.
