    Hey there, I got one of these for free and am planning to use it for a desk tech setup. I'm going to be plugging in my PC, a couple monitors, a 3D Printer, and some other USB things into it.
    Which ports (High-current vs linear filtration) should I use for each of those devices? Will a 3D printer, high-end gaming PC, and monitors need to be plugged into the high-current side or should I put them in the linear filtration?
    Is it worth using this device for a basic tech setup?
    Thanks!

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it is a wise move to use a power conditioner whenever you want to both protect and optimize your setups. The high-current outlets are designed for audio amplifiers and gear that needs strong power supply for best performance. Without any detailed specifications on your exact gear, I won't be able to determine if they require connection to those outlets. I think you can choose any combination for your setup and get great results.

    Great video! What are the main differences between the MR4000 and MR4300? When the 4300 is advised over the 4000? Thanks!

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Otávio , both great units! The 4300 does add a couple more connections; but really sets itself apart with even better noise isolation and filtration. From there, it also adds the front-panel digital voltmeter and two rotatable front-panel lamps to illuminate an equipment rack.

    Hello, I have a Panamax MR4300 which I plugged into the outlets in my apartment. The red triangular warning ⚠️ lights come on. I am guessing that the tv and other equipment didn’t come on is due a problem in the wiring in the apartment ? The voltage light is reading 121. Even with this does that also mean that non of the equipment will come on till the wiring issue is check?
    Thank you William

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi William, you likely won't be able to use any of the equipment connected to your MR4300 until the voltage issues are resolved. When this unit senses an unsafe power condition, it automatically disconnects power from your equipment to protect it from damage. If you got the unit here, you can call our Tech Support as well Their direct number is on your invoice.

      Hi Mornay, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to tell you we don't have a compatible power protection match for you there in New Zealand since all of our units are specific to the USA 110 volts standard.

    • @crutchfield

      For this model, when voltage returns to a safe level, power to the equipment should be automatically reconnected. If you got the unit here, please call our Tech Support. Their direct number is on your invoice.

    Hi, very nice video. Thank you. I have connected to my MR4300 a receiver Anthem MRX 740, and when the voltage goes down, my reciver turns off by itself, then i need to manually turn on manually. Is there a way to stop this behavior?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What are you using as your power protection device currently? Are you seeing voltage drop on the front panel of your unit with a voltmeter like on the Panamax MR4300? These units condition and regulate power, but if you are seeing voltage drops low enough to turn off your gear there could be a deeper issue.

    • @escortsmexicomx3660
      @escortsmexicomx3660 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@crutchfield Im using the MR42300 and my receiver its plugged to the Bank 2, so, and yes, its dropping to 108 - 109 for moments, you think this behavior, powering off by it self is not common?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is designed to turn the equipment off if the voltage drops or surges too high. But it should turn everything back on once the voltage returns to a safe level. You should be seeing the red lightning bolt on the Panamax MR4300 when this happens and it's best to wait for the automatic reconnection if you can.

    My Panamax M4300 lit in front says 125 volts. We had a power outage. What can I do to get rid of th 125 volt on the front of the display?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The number being shown is supposed to be the incoming voltage available. If that number never changes, then its likely some part of the units electronics have been damaged making it display 125 volts instead of the true voltage and a repair of the unit is needed to fix it.

    Are you supposed to ground the protector with a ground wire to the outside 🤔 just wandering ?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely want a properly grounded outlet to connect a unit like this one. That is typically done using a grounding rod sunk into the ground but there are other ways to do it. If your home is not properly grounded, we recommend consulting a electrician for help.

    So, this will replace my 20yr old monster surge protector? I know over time things wear out however, my left floor speaker always has a little buzzzing sound coming for it even with and without my 3-channel amp hooked to it. This can replace other surge protectors and get you back to having joules of protection against surges along with filtering out noise on the powerline. It is covered by a 3 year parts and labor warranty, and has Panamax's $5,000,000 Lifetime Connected Equipment Warranty. Without real measurements from an EMI Dirty Electricity Meter in mV, this review is worthless and is just based on personal opinion. Cleaning up "dirty electric" is usually negligible to zero in the vast majority of so-called power conditioners. I have an expensive Furman PL-PLUS DMC Power Conditioner and the dirty electric signal in my wall outlet is 56 mV and any outlet on the Furman itself is worse at 160 mV. So yeah, according to my Greenwave EMI Dirty Electricity Meter, the Furman is NOT cleaning up the dirty electricity and actually making it worse!

    • @ronniehughes9660
      @ronniehughes9660 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you. Most of these are expensive snake oil. I have an older house that I have converted the back room into a studio as I am a singer songwriter and guitar player. I use a few powered p.a. speakers and a 1500 watt guitar amp with a voice live 3 extreme a helix system with a feedback destroyer. Had a bad hiss at over %50 gain. Bought 4 different power conditioners and they All increased noise. Ended up getting a transformer with filters and sine wave correction then ran new ground separated from neutral line with new wiring outlets and beaker station and finally fixed the dreaded hiss.
