When using teflon tape, wrap 3-4 times and in the direction that the nut will be tightened. If you wrap this direction then the tape will unwrap as the fitting is tightened and it WILL leak at some point
My goals for my civic is around 450 hp. Is the stock fuel rail a constraint on making more power? If it's a constraint what's the max power with stock fuel rail, or do you need the fuel rail to connect the fuel pressure regulator. This is my first project and don't know much, any help would be great.
Hi, I'd be happy to help. Could you let me know what car and what engine you are planning? Also, my latest video on the channel is all about K-Swap fuel systems and is much more helpful.
I am using the K-Tuned kit (k-tuned.3dcartstores.com/Center-Feed-Fuel-System_p_395.html). They might have one for CRX. You could make your own kit though if needed. I am sure K-Tuned could help you out since they also sell AN line by the foot and they have all the fittings on their site as well so they can sell you all the components without the lines assembled and you can cut and assemble the lines yourself. Also, if you want to go budget you can also check out VTEC Academy's budget K swap EG. They just use rubber hose lines with the stock fuel filter. I am not sure if that will work with stock CRX fuel filter though, not sure where that is located on CRX.
@@bobbydelamar606 Yea I really like getting rid of the OEM filter. K-Tuned is very helpful. I am sure if you give them a call they can hook you up with something for CRX. Let me know how it goes!
@@e-dod Absolutely! I called today and they said they don't have a kit for CRX. They said just buy the pieces individually. Regulator, rail, filter and lines. The only thing I'm unsure about is the lines. How much and what fittings. He said the best rail for the engine is the one that has an inlet and outlet set up.
@@bobbydelamar606 Oh nice! Yea you might have to measure for length once you get the engine in the car (unless you just want to buy like 10 feet of -6an for feed & 5 feet of -4an for return and probably have some leftover). Would you use the rail with the single center line like my setup? If so my kit came with 2 -6an 45deg for the feed lines, 1 -6an 90deg (female-female to connect filter to regulator) and 1 -4an 45deg to connect return line to regulator.
I used regular tape but I would use the yellow PTFE tape to be safe. Also, I put the tape in the wrong spot. You should only use the tape on the threads that screw into the regulator since I think those are NPT not AN.
I think they make special ones that do not have a return port. For the standard FPR like I show in the video it needs the return port hooked up to work. All my cars have return lines so I am not as familiar with what to do on a return less system.
Good job bro 👍

@@e-dod the video helped out a lot, thank you.
i’m trying to thread in my fuel pressure gauge into the fpr and it’s won’t thread in far at all maybe 3-4 turns? did you have the same problem?
Its been a while but I do recall having the same issue. It really bugged me how far out the gauge sat 😂. Never leaked though.
@@e-dod as long as it doesn’t leak that’s what matters lol thanks for the reply 👍🏻
I'm looking for a fuel system for my CRX K24A2. I like that kit you got. Do you have a link? How much was it?

@@e-dod Awesome, thank you. I kinda want to have a clean look like yours. So I might go with a KTuned kit. The CRX filter is on the firewall.

Did you use regular plumber thread tape for sealing the joints?

If using a FPR do you need to run a return line?

Good video fam!
Thanks man!
Did you use the stock throttle body or grab a different one?
I am using a 2005 Accord throttle body I got from my local junkyard. The stock throttle cable works fine with this.
