I swesr pike fishing was so easy back in the 90s, i used to fish the river in thetford Norfolk and i woukd catch every time, but now no, i blanked the whole of last season but im sure this one will make up fir it, there are definitely less fiah about than i remember.
Hi Mark, I like the drennan floats you can fish in line but, they also have an eye in the bottom so you can use a link swivel to fish like a normal float. Gives you good options.
Hi Mark where you do not know the depth would you normally plumb with your trace and bait attached to get a true reflection? Do you always fish over depth when using a float? Cheers
I always take my depth from weight to float ,as the trace can be multiple lengths depending on the bottom type. So in effect you are always overdepth, unless I deploy a paternostered rig
