Watching this almost a year after Russia invaded Ukraine. Kind of bittersweet to see it was far from the truth

At some point he got exposed by U.N Human Rights Council and fired from the Russian Armed Forces, this marks the beginning of Makarov hatred toward the West and Kremlin for letting him getting fired from the Armed Forces. At this point Russia mingled with the West (hence why Kamarov had friendship with Captain Price) But in our timeline, Most Russians don't want this *War* They don't have morale in this War. This a fun section of the game. But the reality is as of today the Russian federation aren’t stupid enough to invade the United States. The US just has to much of a home advantage. But the same is true for America. US and Russia also have very patriotic citizens. Citizens that would rather die then submit. But contraries can only possibly fall from internal collapse. Considering they barely can successfully take over a country literally right next to them, I find this highly unlikely to ever happen. They would turn to nuclear warfare before this I would think. Btw a classic game.
I mean, even when the game was made this scenario was impossible. The background lore tried to make it plausible by saying that the ultranationalists started a massive armament program after the events of the first game. Basically, Russia would've had to drastically increase the size of its Navy and Airforce to make this type of invasion possible.
Seeing how Russia is struggling to defeat Ukraine now, this game becomes laughable. People were fooled by Russian propaganda into thinking that Russia was as powerful or even more powerful than the US and games like this one were also influenced by this and in turn they also helped create Russia's powerful image.
This already was a bit of a stretch. Honestly the U.S. is about the only country in which would practically be impossible to successfully invade. We not only have a diverse geography but also the world's sole super power, most powerful military, tons of Law Enforcement that would help in an invasion and also our 2nd amendment rights. So yeah. @@stephenjenkins7971 Iraq had one of the largest armies, not strongest army. By your logic, then Ukraine had the second largest army in Europe before the war. It's even bigger now. Why doesn't that make them strong by your own logic? Also, no way Iraq of 2003 was stronger than Ukraine of today. Iraq is 1/3 of the size of Ukraine and mostly flat desert land where the Arabs live. It had less than 20 million Arabs (not counting the Kurds here). Their GDP was barely 22 billion. They've been sanctioned for 12 years and couldn't modernize their army. Their army was purged by Saddam after the gulf war due to many reason such as Shia soldiers mutiny and Saddam's paranoia. They had no friends back then unlike how they did in the 80s. Most of the Arabs and Iran were happy about the US invading Iraq to increase oil price. Their army was a joke and nothing but a shell of what it was in the 80s. Also, Iraq never really did have a strong air force. They had a large army that only functioned well when the US, Europe and USSR gave it intelligence and weapons to fight Iran. Doesn't matter how large your land armies are if you can't fight your enemy directly. The US carpet bombed the hell out of Iraq millitary from their bases in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and UAE. The US was building their forces there for months. The US destroyed power plants, water facilities, and even civilain airports before any troops crossed into Iraq. Things that would be considered war crimes, but the U.N. proved it self for being useless as usual. Also, there's is a really big factor that very few talk about it, which is Bush's state of the union speech in 2003. He made it sound to the whole world that this war would be against Saddam and his family only. He gave an ultimatum to Saddam and his family to leave Iraq for good, or he will have to invade, even though the US had already build up its forces in the Persian gulf knowing that Saddam would refuse. Do you have any idea how much this changes the advantages the US had in that war? Imagine you are an Iraq guy living in Iraq which was very poor in comparison to its other oil rich Arab neighbors. Just to give you a perspective, Iraqis were so poor, that an Indian private driver for random Saudi families made 2.5 times more than an Iraqi. And for the last 12 years, Saddam popularity fell by a lot. The Iraqi people practically blamed him for their poverty. Iraq was wealthier per capita than every single GCC country during the monarchy, and then they made less than an Indian driver in Saudi Arabia which wasn't the richest GCC country per capita. Would you fight for Saddam? Many Iraqis saw the Americans as liberators since they thought the war would be only to get rid of Saddam and his secret millitary police that kept making people disappear. Many Iraqis didn't even bother to keep fighting the moment news of Saddam's fleeing the capital reached them. Many of the army high general staff and Ba'ath party members turned on Saddam at that point. They wanted to remove Saddam and negotiate a gov with the US to return US-iraq relationship of the 80s, since they knew that Iran was still an enemy of the US. Basically keep the balance of power intact in the region. But the US had different plans. Install a useless system called democracy on a population that is already ethnically and religiously divided, then exclude almost every element of the previous government and millitary. And to make things worse, bring back an exiled Iraqi policitian who's been living in luxury outside Iraq for more than 30 years, and install him as acting president. What could possibly go wrong lol! Ukraine has been getting billions in aid/debt from the West along with lots of weapons. Their army have been fighting since 2014. They've been building defenses for 8 years preparing for this. And Russia is not invading to get rid of a tyrant in the eyes of the people, but to conquer them. They think it's best to get out of Russian influence and join EU. Of course they'll be far more motivated to fight back. Especially after the fiasco that happened last year in Afghanistan. And don't forget that no one sanctioned the US in their wars. If Iraqi people knew US intentions and how they would be even poorer than they were before 2003 and also become Iran's puppet, they would have fought far harder. If Iraq were getting state of the art weapons designed to fight guerilla warfare against large army units, then the US would have faced a slaughter. If the US was getting sanctioned like Russia is doing today, then I doubt the US would have stayed passed 2005 if they hadn't already left in 2004. Remmebr, the US is a democracy, so heavy loses would mean a disaster for the elected government fighting a war in Iraq. Especially if wmd were confirmed to be a hoax (just look at why the hippie movement started). You can't compare US-iraq war with this one. There are so many variables that go agaisnt it. The only thing that I would say the US did great aside from using their air force, was logistics. But the Russians are poorer, so of course they'll screw that up. They were never really that great with logistics to begin with, not even during the height of USSR. I personally think that they were hoping to scare the Ukrainians into surrender, but it didn't work. I think it's very odd that they sent such a small force to take a city as large as Kiev. I dunno if this is true or not, but I've heard that the northern front was not prepared in advance, but rather convinced by the "intelligence" to Putin that it would work. The millitary wanted to focus on the south and east instead. Invading Ukraine with 200k only is not smart at all. I think had they only focused on the south and east, they would have made far better gains. For you to conquer Ukraine, you would need at least 650k soldiers. Then you can outnumber them easily since training citizens to match that would not be feasible. If I was in Putin's shoes, I would at least prepare 400k minimum. Put 50k north of Kiev, and simply build defenses to keep Ukrainian troop busy there. Then 200k would focus on the south and east. The 150k remaining would make a large thrust to close off as much of the Ukraine's western borders as possible. That way Ukraine would have to surrender since they won't be able to get weapons from NATO. Everyone knows that it's crucial to cut the enemy's supply of foreign weapons. It's why the Germans lost and also why the US lost Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Also, one last point, it's much harder to fight people that look like you and speak the same language as you. You just don't know who's who. If the US sent 200k to fight more than 500k Canadians who are getting supplied by everyone, the US would be facing a lot of problems as well.

Irna, Belarus and China "support" Russia politically, but UA army is supplied by USA, Poland, Germany, UK etc etc etc . Just like Third Reich. They lost, but it took whole fuc#ing world to stop them.
Here is one fun fact for you from Ukraine: One Russian soldier (a driver of the tank) was running in circles around the small village in Ukraine near border with Russia. When an old woman came to him and asked "TF u doin" he simply answered: I'm wasting my fuel so this tank would never run again". This isn't army, this is Putin.

The half of those will fight against rest. Imagine how many of them hate ruling regime and dream abount independence. They will fight for independent Texas, California etc
Those would be useless, on the other hand, the us is already the largest and most powerful military and the us navy is the largest and most powerfull navy in the world (with a budget larger than any other country except chinas full military including all of their branches) and also the second largest Air force after the us Air force. That will be enough.
2:35 the most solemn and comical part of this with the current situation in ukraine is that the opening, where the BTR is just indiscriminately firing into residential housing, is happening right now in real time.
Ukraine alone would lose against Russia. It’s the help from nato that let’s them fighting. They received more money than the Russian military budget, volunteers from all over the world are helping them and help them train. You can’t say Russia is fighting against Ukraine. It’s fighting nato. The only Ukraine part in the war are the people fighting. And not even all people fighting are Ukraine. The weapons, equipment and vehicles are nato.

Well, if they win, would they be considered weak? Ukriane isn't a weak country to begin with.
@@aol8166 if they win they would probably barely pushed through to begin with their progress now. it displays how strong ukraine is but still displaying how weak russia. its supposed to be like a military power.
@@aol8166 Ukraine is literally one of the weakest countries in Europe. It's weaker than Iraq in 2003 by a large margin, and the US steamrolled it. In perspective, Iraq was among the top 10 military powers on the planet. Ukraine was ranked 22.
