@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan ahh nice! I been running my entire setup from a MacBook M1Pro & thunderbolt dock. But that has me USB bandwidth restricted since I have so many devices plugged in at once: usb external speakers, wave XLR, Stream deck plus, stream deck XL, USB HDMI 2.1 capture card for the PS5, usb to hdmi & usb to display port for my 2 additional displays, usb external SSD & usb capture for my main mirrorless cam. Which leaves me with zero available ports for my other 2 cameras. I’ve always struggled with running out of USB ports/bandwith even with my old PC that I retired.
@AJCoReTV I've had no problems ever no matter what I through at it. Having more pcie lanes helps. Only upgrade since I built it was went from ryzen 5 3600 to ryzen 7 5800x
@@AJCoReTV people get offended when I say this but mac gets treated as the red headed step child for streaming. All the good stuff just works with PC. The audio routing is easier also. Having a nvidia video card is still a huge plus at this point. Thanks AJ good seeing you.
So a atem is also a capture card and a switcher. The question would be what are you using to bring your cameras into vmix? I use a elgato camlink which lets me bring in each camera separately and add them to my vmix playlist. The atem only let's one camera be used at a time. So I wouldn't think this is possible with the atem from vmix but I do think it's possible with script written for the atem.
Explaining step by step info. for camera switching. Nice. 👍.
Yes a few subscribers asked for this and I finally got to it.
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan Very beneficial.👍
Thank you.
Was really helpful for me
I'm so happy it helped.
Thank you very much, this has been very useful tutorial and has helped me a lot.
I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. Glad it was useful.
Very cool! Are the 3 cameras going into your atem?
Hey brother!! No sold the atem long ago. I've used a camlink pro pcie card since it come out. Works great up to 4k 30. Happy New Year!

makes sense. I might soon dedicate my Mac for editing duties only & build out a dedicated PC for streaming. Great content as always John 👍🏽

How do you connect three camlink pro at the same time?
People do but it all depends on how maxed out your usb bus is. I personally use a pcie card with 4 hdmi inputs called the camlink pro.
Hello Sir, We are using vmix for our live streaming. Is vmix enough to do the camera switching or we need to add video switcher like Atem? Thank you
