Adidas has been on absolute fire lately. I’ve been a Nike guy all through playing sports but the last few adidas speed boots have been incredibly tempting to get over a vapor.
Just a heads up, the carbon plate is no gimmick. I’m not sure about the performance with soccer/football, however it had such an impact in the running world that some competition rules were tweaked in order to avoid runners having unfair advantage. Now the rule changes are not as front and center, because all major running shoe makers have a few carbon fiber plated models. Apparently carbon plates were shown to statistically impact athletes’ performance. Back when carbon plates weren’t widely available in the running shoes market, that became a concern and hence the tweak to the rules of organized races.
carbon fiber functions differently in a pair of running shoes than in cleats. the carbon fiber in running shoes are usually 3mm at least and benefits running by geometry+stiffness. carbon plates in cleats are far too thin for that. very stiff plastic can come very close in performance
Carbon plates in running shoes are primarily stabilisers, the performance gains mainly came from the foams.

The carbitex insert is no where near as good as ACC though.

nice boots, I love my x ghosted .1 but these look like a pretty good upgrade. just don't really like the red color way. if these were out in a white color way like my current boots I'd buy them right now. lookin forward to see what colors come out later.

I remembering when i was at the store and had my head on the mercurials but in the end i picked up the X bcs it is super comfortable
i have a huge question I currently wear the lace less copas no the newest version but last years and live them but want to get the speed flow really bad but i’m scared i won’t like them cause of how thin they are compared to last years laceless copas and the main reason i am struggling is because i’m scared the “Barefoot feel” would hurt to kick a ball and hit a ball in colder weather unless it feels like normal I just don’t want my feet to hurt if i hit it a little wrong but if i hit it normal would i still feel it hit my foot really hard ecspeccially with harder balls
@@jackpullis8958 according to my own experience the barefoot feel u wouldn't even notice it when u are playing...and I'm suggesting to go buy the ones with laces..i always prefer those ones...it doesn't really hurt your feet at all..I've worn them for 3 years and a half...and all i can say they are amazing...but still it goes to our own opinions, for me it feels amazing and it didn't hurt my feet at all, i don't know about other people...hope u can make the right choice bro 👌

I almost only play on artificial grass, should i get the FG version because of the "superior" carbon fibre plate? Or is the new AG soleplate good without it?
i would go with fg. I play in the mls next league and we play in all turf. I prefer fg over ag
AG will probably be better as it will decrease the risk of you injuring yourself
As somebody who’s in the same situation, I’d say AG just because it’s a lower injury risk and will result in better longevity for your boots. That said, if you already have an AG pair of boots, you could get the FG pair and alternate, since the Carbitex insert is pretty solid

My boots also have the same lumb but on the left side.
I never though the boot made me run quicker. I felt like the heavier cleat, I felt on my calfs. Don’t get me wrong the copa mundial is easily top two football boot ever. But I prefer the sonic boots, uh I mean speed boots.

There is still an unacceptable cons that is the lace is not as deep as mercs, it is not deep enough so that it can not secure your front foot properly. So I will still pick merc until adidas fix this problem

Hey not sure if you see this, but this is kind of a different question. I’m trying to decide between these and the puma future 1.1. Now, I’ve struggles with medial splints on and off for years (flat feet) and I’m trying to decide which would be the best option/most mechanically beneficial in running mechanics. Which would cause the least amount of shock when running? The curved feel on the bottom of the speed flow has would make me think it would help more, but the comfort and softness of the future also makes me wonder if that’s the better option. Just standing there in the store the future was more comfortable but that could be due to the curve in the speedflow while standing on concrete. Would really appreciate some input! Long time supporter here of your channel and grip socks
No one else has cuts on the outsides of their ankles? The v cut kills me. Plus’s the lacing hurts my feet. I play em without laces!

Hey Josh, Adidas Rugby recent brought back the Adizero RS7 together with the Predator Malice. Was wondering if you’re able to do a review on those? Been looking around but haven’t seen any reviews on them.
Wanted to hear your thoughts on them because both models have the Sprintframe sole plates from the Ace 16 models & the Predator Malice has similar rubber elements as the Predator Freak models.

Hey Josh, does the upper on the speedflow .1 relate at all to the adidas x 19.1 upper? I would like to know how the synthetic and "mesh" uppers differentiate. Love the video
They're quite a bit different. These don't really have the feel of padded mesh at all. They're just super thin, with no padding, but still with a surprising amount of pliability.
How does the fit compare with the x19.1?

I have the vapors from nike it was my 2nd time buying them and i had a very bad time with them first blisters and 2nd the cleat started ripping the 2nd month in and they were the 170$ ones i prefer the speeflow ones alot more from recent expirince
