    Streets around Joubert Park, need to be clean and organised for visits to move around freely. I really want to play my part clean the city with positive people like CID

    Accessibility safety and more public awareness is required I'm sure with time a stable local government focused on reconstruction and development and the private sector given guarantees this can work slowly but surely!

    The green house should have tomatoes, green peppers, herbs and the like...planted all over the place...They can have Saturday "farmers markets" and maybe a nice coffee shops, some curios shops...they have enough land for it...Think Saturday markets is the best way to get people to come around and liven the place

    • @Livinginsatv

      Totally support a fresh idea like that. We just need to bring a CID there, take taxis out and turn into a cultural place again. This is heart of joburg!

    Johannesburg has a whole lot of potential. Go for it! Make that change!! I live in Seattle, USA and have seen it go down hill. Don't let that happen to Johannesburg.

      We trying our best around here. A lot of stakeholders are working hard to turn this place around.

    😍 Beautyful ! Remember what a overgrown and delipidated place it was a few years ago . Hillbrow has a huge potential of becoming a place to be again.

      Agreed. Actually is the area in the city that I really wish to turn around.

      Joubert Park will never return to it’s former glory.Since 1994 everything has gone down the drain.This place has become a big slum and crime hub thanks to the cANCer.

    There's too many taxis in such a limited space it looks like a taxi rank it causes congestion and road/pedestrian safety as a whole is is brought into question.

    THESE TAXI Situation HAS to be Sorted OUT . There is too many OF THEM in SMALL PLACE. Only JOBURG RESIDENTS must OPERATE Taxis.

    • @Livinginsatv

      I agree taxis are a big issue

    This park needs some money spent on it and flowers and a coffee, tea and hot dogs for people to eat and enjoy would be nice. Once new flowers and water is put there and green lawn is planted and fresh trees like date or coconut trees it will make a large difference. It will be the park of central joburg that everyone will be wanting to visit and site see and enjoy taking photos.

    • @Livinginsatv
      @Livinginsatv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I really want to focus in this area. It is a beautiful area. We need some real estate developers to see this.

    I really wish I could get involved in projects that helps revive the city. 🥺
    Perhaps I could start with concept sketches for the green house 🤗

    • @Livinginsatv
      @Livinginsatv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will be lovely any developments on your idea? I am actually looking for someone to do some sketches so people can see the potential in these areas.

      Yes unfortunately the Hillbrow area of Johannesburg has a bad reputation but it is slowly changing . You go literally anywhere in JHB you have no need for security

      @@christopherwalker5017 right oukie, times have changed, i then and when crossing Hillbrow east to west and west to east (Braamfontein to Doornfontein and back) driving Smit and Wolmarans respectively. I dont feel unsafe in the area anymore. Police and priv. security everywhere. The CBD is gradually coming back to life i hope !

    David, a city is for something. Johannesburg was a merchant city once. Businessmen in beautiful suits worked in those high rises. Money put up those buildings. The crowd thats wandering around are not who are going to sustain Johannesburg the way it was in the 1970’s.

    • @Livinginsatv
      @Livinginsatv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Facts but we need to reinvent the city again and not give up on it.

      I hear now the Art Gallery can’t afford to turn its lights on, the gallery walls are empty, and the roof is in need of major repairs, and the City of Johannesburg City Council motioned a NO vote to foot the bill. So now what?
      Here’s an idea. Bring in several million Ukraine refugees pronto. Set them up in places to live and let them lose. See what they do. Tell them the city is your oyster, now go make it yours. I can guarantee you in 2 years you’ll have a pristine city with zero litter, zero street people, and zero vandalism. …..I bet you.

      Best way to find out is look for property in Joubert park. That will give you a good idea or just check my latest video regarding the drone footage in Joubert park.

    • @Livinginsatv

      Correct, this is the mini version. But I need to educate people first on the matter. Many people don't even know this area exists.

    Just need to take all the criminals off the streets of the CBD and then you will have a beautiful city...just take the CBD back to the 1980's or 1990's....
