“People say when you get to the NBA, don’t forget about me” “Well I should’ve said to them if I don’t make it, don’t you forget about me”-William Gates(Hoop dreams documentary). That quote has always stuck in my head cause it’s true. Everybody loves you when you’re on top but you see who’s who when you’re on the bottom. With the right guidance who knows how far he could’ve went in ball and life.

The good thing for him with all these platforms is that if he decides to focus on himself he can figure out a way to monetize his legendary status. Book deal, documentary, motivational speaking etc.. It's not over for him. He just has to get over his fear of success as Kenny described in Soul in the Hole.

Flip is a hater. He can't help it. He's always the one bringing negative energy. He revels in it. And it's very telling. Misery loves company. As much misery as he attempts to spread, he must be equally as miserable inside. I hope he deals with that within himself, so that he can start building up his people instead of tearing them down.

He wasn’t making him feel worse. A lot of young dudes watch these interviews. They need to learn. Use this as an example. Dudes need to be held accountable. He was nice and threw it away playing in the streets. It is what it is. Put ya feelings aside and realize.

@@FleeGunnaRiich yes he was. As I’ve stated I don’t believe it’s intentional. But, he was asking him the same questions repeatedly to get that emotional reaction for a better interview. The man clearly had a lot of regrets why keep asking if he feels bad about how his life turned out or seeing his peers successful? He kept asking him about shit that was triggering him. If you ask once, somebody don’t wanna speak on the subject, just leave it alone.

Boogs wasn’t a better player than Steph, Sham & Skip but HE WAS A BETTER POINT GUARD than all of em! His ball handling combined with his passing skills were 2nd to none. It was nothing for him to get around players with his low dribble cross and go around they’re back with a dish. He would literally do it every play if not throw an alley. Every moment with the ball in Boogs hand was a highlight. EVERY SINGLE MOMENT! From Westinghouse to The Hole! You had to be there.

To far too many tho, they don't have proper guidance. & the fact is alotta kids that was "the lame nigga" when we was kids, they made a decent life for themselves. I got bros that never stopped going back I
& forth to the inside, cause they wasn't tryna hear that shit, if it wasn't gangsta gangsta they wasn't interested. & now that we older they'll tell u themselves "I was wilin', I was stupid, I was playin football in the Penn, I wish I realized how much I liked it & played when we was in school" all types of different shit....

His story is similar to mine only difference is that I grew up playing baseball. Growing up here in NYC is soo easy to get distracted with all these distractions here in the city. You have the streets. Drugs girls and the music 💯. You need strong parents to stay on top of the kids to keep them focused. I flunked off the baseball team in Kennedy highschool. I was the only black American player on an all Dominican team. And I threw it All away being a follower chasing girls my friends and the streets. That was 2004- 2008. Now I’m 33 turning 34 and I’m coaching 9 & under baseball now trying to teach the kids 💯. Shoutout to Booger I know your pain brother. I have a lot of regrets too and I wish I can go back into time I would’ve been on the Yankees ! I played for the South Harlem Reds. Outside team from Harlem New York. If anybody know you know 💯.
