nas album was one of the most anticipated ever in hip hop. everyone wanted him after live at the bbq. TRAG never had a buzz like that. Nas had a 5 mic album, so you cant say before Nas cuz he never had a 5 mic album. he was political then turned super militant, thats not Nas. AT ALL. rakim was the closest thing to Nas if you HAD to make a comparison. Trag cant even dress well.

That a hot one but what about, "you ain't riding? Then fall back slow gas, I make thugs run up in the bank with no mask.

The roof to the cellar, the bread for the cheddar.
Nigga, goodfella in an iceberg sweater.

For some reason my lines make thugs stronger,
Blow guns and fuck for two hours longer.

You know how the gray go flooded with ice,
Unconditional love cause we thugs for life.

The part of the interview when Tragedy talked about not having a childhood was heartbreaking. Peace to Tragedy. Props to Flip and G$ for another dope interview.

I'm not a fan, because I don't blow on men; but Tragedy is a very special artist to me.
If anyone remembers the original Thug Matrix CD--the street release joint with the red cover--that album got me through a really pivotal time in my life: ran away from home, living in my Gramps' basement; going to school by day, coming home to my cousins chopping see rule at night. Sharing pants, shirts, plates of food! ("Doubt this for two shorties sleeping in the same bed.") Catching ACDs; trying to be a good boy; then violating ACDs. Real street dudes telling me time and time again, "Get out the car, C!" Tragedy helped me navigate all of that. I'm in my mid-40s now, living overseas, with a beautiful family, working on a Ph D.
My dude, I hope you get this: I just want to say, "Thank you!" Truly, I'm gracious right about now.
And, lastly, I want to thank y'all here in the comment section: I get emotional when I see the love and the respect Tradge still generates--like how Tyson gets when he talks about Ali. No disrespect to anyone, but the Mahdi is the Greatest!
