    Glad to have you back - in my opinion you bring us one of the most unbiased and professional dronereviews I've been able to find. Also its nice with someone who shots in 25/50 fps🙂

    I purchased this drone when it came out last summer, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. The 3x Tele camera/lens is very useful, and allows me to be more creative. Thanks for showing us how good the 3X looks even when you zoom in with it, I will have to try that next time I'm out flying with the Air 3. Great review, and thanks for sharing Stewart.

    Ditto on being glad you’re back. I was all set to purchase the Mavic 3 Classic but truth be told my favorite drone ever is the Mavic 2 Zoom because of all the interesting shots one can create with it. Seeing your video now just reminded me of what I’ve missed since I sold my Zoom. Now I’m buying the Air 3 to rekindle my love of flying again. Thanks ❤

      Very happy to hear that! The Mavic 2 Zoom was a bit overlooked at the time but it was great. You'll love the Air 3.

    Stewart! You're running up hills with drones again! Awesome- I've been looking for ya lately, figured the hills would call to you! Good to see you! Try THIS: Air 3 Waypoints- put camera heading, gimbal angle, and zoom all in "manual" - they the mission fly the aircraft - you are now simulating "Dual Operator Mode" ala' Inspire, where you are camera operator, waypoints is drone operator. How great is that! Afterwards, take over flying and do some 10 m/s Ascend and Descend: fastest DJI Camera Drone at these moves - faster than Mavic 3, faster than INSPIRE 3. Yes.

    I just got the Air3 and picked up the ND filters from PolarPro. The made their filters with the different apertures in mind so you don't have to compensate. That was a big selling point for me.

    • @DroneFilmGuide
      @DroneFilmGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fantastic. I didn't realise they were also split NDs. Good choice.

    • @mattdamarell
      @mattdamarell ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are there different levels of ND for the wide and tele in the one filter? No mention of it on their website. Appears to be just one ND level across the two lenses which would not be ideal due to the different apertures.
      The freewell kit addresses this but am not sure about the quality...

    • @MisplacedMotoVlogger
      @MisplacedMotoVlogger ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattdamarell I originally saw a video from PolarPro, and they said that it is different for the 24mm and the 70mm. They do have two different sets available, I believe. I got the ones called the Shutter Collection.

    Catabatic wind - the horizontal vortex downwind of a hill or building - can easily reach tornado speeds by hysteresis, and it's worse when there are no gusts to disrupt the vortex.

    • @DroneFilmGuide
      @DroneFilmGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely going to use the words catabatic and hysteresis in the next video and pretend I know what I'm talking about!

    Nice scenery you have and with nobody to disturb you, but after you have taken your sunset footage there do you make your way back to where you parked in the dark. Air 3 and Mini 4 pro work well together. I carry a torch now in case I get carried away, last time I stepped in something not too pleasant, some cow I expect and saw the deer come out when it got dark under a full moon in between the clouds. Nice hobby keeps you fit.

    • @DroneFilmGuide
      @DroneFilmGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! I like to be back at the car by the time it's dark or at the very least back on a flat and level surface. Days were short when I was out filming this.

    I fly my Air 3 more than Mavic 3 Pro, more than Mini 4 Pro. Why? Sweet Spot drone. It's the drone to get when you're only getting one (obviously not me!). It's my desert island drone (if I could figure out a battery charger for the island!)

    All I need is Mavic 3 Classic but with normal and 70mm and maybe that will be the Air3s... I can't coprehend why you like the Air3... it has so much flaws that make the one ppsitive thing - the 70mm camera, totally unworthy for mw :/

  • @MarkAJaegerVideo

    Hi, MarkAJaeger (channel) here. I enjoy your videos and the information within them. I fly an Inspire 3. It is frequently frustrating that the "flagship" doesn't have some of the capabilities you employ in your video. It is a great drone but DJI did not include all their tricks. BTW: Being blown over is a sign that drone flying may be challenging. I use a slightly less severe measure = How many times has my baseball hat blown off. You can fly if it's once but more is iffy. Keep up the good work.

    • @DroneFilmGuide
      @DroneFilmGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the baseball hat windspeed test is safer!

      Actually, after decades of travelling the world, I'm ashamed to say I only went there myself this September for the first time. Only the lower west area, up to Dumfries and Stirling. Very good and some great castle videos. I'll try to do the top bit next year.

    I made the mistake of buying the DJI ND filters before I even knew about the split type from Freewell. The DJI filters are now just dust collectors or potential back ups with no expectation of ever needing to use them again.
