    Ryan, salted nut rolls are a staple of carbs and energy in Iowa. Every Casey's in Iowa has them as well as other convenient stores (Qt's don't so we don't stop). They store well too regardless of conditions ..hot or cold.

    But last weekend up at White Salmon River... went to bed under the gaze of the galaxies above.. woke up at 2:00... red moon, no stars, and lots of smoke...those fires put a damper on our camping trip, but others lost their homes.. so still, thankful and blessed!

    When you go to mines, you can find crystals in the tailings. Tailings and site areas can contain a wide variety of mineral and gem material. Because miners were basically interested in what they were mining for in particular, other materials were often overlooked and discarded in the tailings. You can find tourmaline, garnet, sapphire and many other minerals. Just something to consider when you go to a mineral rich area like a gold mine.

      Ryan Van Duzer , these videos are keeping me awake at night! I keep thinking how neat the hut system is and think about ways I could put in something like that and where I could put the huts. There aren’t many connecting trails or destinations that compare to the ones you are riding even though there is an ever growing group of riders and mtb groups that I can see really utilizing the hut system. It’s nothing like you have there but I see this being the adventure vacation of the future. Call me Crazy but wouldn’t it be great to have these all over the country. I might have to move from North Texas to find areas that have trails and destinations that could support a system. Of course I need to do the trip myself and research how it all operates but the wheels in my tiny brain are turning. I don’t know if I should thank you or curse you. But your videos and their content are inspiring. But I am seriously going to look into how it all works. Would be a great hobby when I retire.

    Payday can hit the spot. I'm on the side of your friend here. They say you are what you eat, so I guess some people are salted nuts.

    So I've watched at least 50-60 of your videos and this might be the most well made and photographed of any of them. Well done. On another note, you've got to check out the new Skydio 2 drone. It follows you by itself and would make some great footage of your adventures.

      Thanks David, I appreciate it. Some day I'm able to spend more time getting the pretty shots, and other days I'm too busy pedaling. And yes, that Skydio looks AMAZING!

    Absolutely, are the bomb. I learned to stay away from chocolate covered candy bars while riding. Unless you want to wear chocolate all over your bike and handlebars. Payday bars good also.

    • @duzer
      @duzer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, chocolate doesn't bode well in warm temps...becomes chocolate soup ;)

    Ryan, I am with you on the salted nut roll. I've never had one, heard of them, and probably not going to try one. Another great video with amazing views!!!
