When I moved from PA. To Utah back in 1993 the first motorcycle I bought was a 84 XL 600. I put a supertrap exhaust and a Clark tank just like yours. I rode it all over the state for years. From the desert to the mountains. Truely one of the most versatile bikes I ever had. I would like to find another 86. The red, white and blue colors were cool. Thanks for sharing your ride.

A 2010 back surgery has made it impossible for me to ride. Finally decided to sell my two 82 Honda XL 250Rs and my 79 KZ900 this summer. It may seem a bit simplistic to say this, but thanks for taking me on this joyful ride.

Most excellent young sir, yes here in Europe (England to be more precise) e-bikes (and other e-stuff) is heavily policed, but then we have a load of numpties who spoil it for everyone else (as always) But there would be no way anyone would be able to be that close to, let alone ride along by the train tracks !. But as always a great video, and surely a great promotional video for your home area. Keep it up. Thank you

In Rockford I could go pretty much where ever I wanted to on a little 250ex quad.
    It was quiet.
Once I figured out the good cuts.
I got to see the city from totally differant prospective.
There's also a big drain system that snakes it's way all through the city.
It was like a little slightly below street level trail.
With tunnels going under the cross roads.
But the perfect size for for quad.

It would pick the front wheel up on the highway. Was fun pulling up the Foxnody back in the day ind just smoke them of the line. It was the early years when they had 2 carbs. Dumbest thing I ever did was sell it.

But when the magneto went out I guess it was a sign to get rid of it before I killed my self, when I got on a dirt bike, the more I rode it the braver I got! I bought a three wheeler when I started hunting and now I have a 2003 Anniversary Harley Davidson heritage soft tail and I love just cruising now that I’m 63! Brilliant Chris, loved the railroad trackways, there’s no way you’d be able to do that here, great shots of the area👍🇮🇪

Awesome video as always man! I live in Jersey and have always passed that ramp on the pier always wondering what it was from the highway. It’s so cool to see you go back there and I always love the historical explanations you provide. Keep it up!!

Pretty cool ride-along video! Petty Island was used at one point as a fuel storage depot for the petroleum company Citgo. Also, Koch Industries used it for asphalt manufacturing. The place is a toxic mess but they are cleaning it up.

Yeah you could see where the fule tank where placed at by the gigantic circle of water on the ground. I try sneaking in yrs ago riding through Camden but was pretty well guarded.

I love the XL600R content. I own an 87 which I love and also never plan to sell. Hoping to source Xr650l parts to do the suspension upgrade like you did. Thanks for the video and all the awesome content.

Been waiting for this. I’ve had a bunch of XLs and XRs over the years including a few XL600s. Good stuff!
