The komodo - hyena build is extremely fun, but you need units with better abilities that work regardless of position. That team without the rat, but an ostrich instead, could work.
That would require NL to sell units, which he'll only do if the units are actually valuable. Selling worthless units isn't part of the game plan.

Level 3 Hyena needs to be reworked to shuffle pets from across teams for ultimate chaos
Y'know, every time I go up against someone with the golden poop, my heart sinks because I know they have a seven digit IQ, they're going to win with 1 HP left, but don't worry, they planned for that, and also they have 3 50/50s by turn 3. How? I dunno, they played a lot of games I guess.
The BEST strat I have found on this weekly is to buy as many ducks and baby ducks as possible, DONT COMBINE, and then sell (or buy/sell) all of them onto something that benefits from high HP (looking for early camel) for a great pivot and makeshift hyperbolic time chamber accelerator.

Listen, I’ve been playing this game for like half a year now, and only just came up with the idea to stack duck buffs onto frozen pets.
NL please keep using the non cartoon thumbnail for TH-cam only videos and please use the new cartoony thumbnail for stream vods. It makes it very easy to differentiate them and it’s very convenient!!
I feel like in general, bacta strats are fun. However, the egg always uses the bacta on something he already has and is stronger on the squad. When it takes four turns of bacta to catch the store unit up to the squad unit, why bother?
This is one of the most brutal weeklys I have played, tbh not suprised your having a hard time.
This is one of the more easy ones for me. Croissants on 2 starting units and you're good for halfway of the game then sell one for a better skill.

8:18 if you sell the cricket and put the 2nd mouse on the squad, then that becomes 2 summons on the enemy team guaranteed for the aardvark

NL hasn't realized how absolutely cracked the squirrel is.
Yeah, squirrel is just a better swan. At minimum it's discounting you three gold, and later on with a level 3, it's something like 12 gold? (I can't remember if later shops have 4 food or 5.) You might not want every food, but if you have a seal or worm, even the wrong non-stat food is useful. :)
If you put the tiger behind a level 2 hyena it would copy its level one ability: swapping attack and health.
It would effectively jerryrig a level 3 hyena.
Unless hyena's level one ability moves tiger first so it doesn't affect hyena, idk how that works

He shoulda swapped his duck's stats onto the puppy instead of running two of them.
13:19 sell the rat for the octopus. The rat is bad when you can't control where it is, the octopus almost had the same amount of stats as the rat especially when you take the rats spawns into account

i think it's too embeded in people's minds that you get tier 3 units at turn 3 through a level up that it makes people (BY PEOPLE I MEAN NL) believe getting them on their respective turn (Tier of pet × 2 - 1) is "late".

7:25 losing 2 hearts wouldn’t have mattered. He literally wasted almost all of his gold that turn XD. I suppose was 1 closer to 10 wins but let’s be honest, we all knew he wasn’t making it.
