Today we attempt our first hardcore challenge in the new DLC of the Contra collab Operation Guns in Vampire Survivors as Simondo Belmont. The challenge? No movement. No Divine Bloodline Arcana. No Gatti Amari. Oh, and I should mention the character starts with no weapon, highly limiting our starting Arcana choices.

Simondo, the bomb boi. He's a strong, independent man who don't need no weapons because he spawns power ups like mad.
The fact that this game just went from being a simple Castlevania parody to having a collaboration with Konami (the same people who made Castlevania) while also getting Simon Belmont (the main character of the series) as a playable character in that same collab (albeit in his appearance in Contra Hard Corps) is the most awesome thing that ever happened to a game.

For everyone else's info, and to serve as a reminder:
All the Crewmate passives essentially provide 3 levels' worth of a weapon.
Crewmate (red): Garlic
Engineer (orange): Lightning Ring
Ghost (yellow): Clock Lancet
Shapeshifter (green): Bone
Guardian (blue): Laurel
Impostor (purple): Knife
Scientist (pink): Santa Water
Horse (take a guess): Greatest Jubilee
As far as I know they disappear when the weapon they're linked to evolves, which is kinda sad

AMAZING video, it was awesome seeing another no movement challenge. I wouldnt have the self control to do these myself, but watching you do them is the best!
I have a strong feeling Simondo is an hint that a Castlevania DLC is coming. I was suprised about the Contra DLC when at the begining some sprites were just straight from Castlevania. But now we know Komania has givin VS its blessing. Also in the trailer it has a scene running through the woods to show wolf dude and it looks jus like the start of SOTN.
I am just praying it happens, there are enough character's, and the new weapons would be amazing I bet. Imagine Simon Belmont with the chain whip and as you move it would sling around like when you hold it in the Castlevania games. Or the Crisagrim from SOTN! O man I am praying.
I just bought this game, I have watched Asmon play it a long while ago, but never tried it myself. I found your videos yesterday and was instantly hooked lol. I have 9 hours on the game already….ADDICTIVE! Thanks for the entertainment, great content 😊

You can actually do a no weapons run now by sealing and banishing everything
The just vent evolution was what got me my first 100k kill game on the first emergency meeting map. It can be straight up disorienting.
DEX most likely has 3k or more hours in this game and just now realise mad grove can be great for certain runs.

just played a no-weapons game with this guy today. Suuure, it was il Molise,, but he actually got to the end without any weapons. (because of the xp to kaboom arcana,, ;)

Would you like it if they added a telekinetic in weapon slot, which would allow you to pick up stuff with your mouse? Or would that just make this entire challenge pointless?

Great run but I thought you would have opted for a "no weapon" run as Simondo spawns bombs and shields. Inverse mode probably wouldn't be possible as bosses would be a real problem.
They should add a 'no movement' option to the game. Which makes dropped chests fly to you. Or make your pickup range also affect chests
That option would be great as a challenge, even allowing you to collect chests in an area very close to the character.

Been playing this game for a while and I still don't know why your Empty Tome says "reduced cooldown by 80%"
I think ignoring the spellwand in that one game where you made it till 25 minutes is what cost you the game. The spellwand is pretty powerful when it comes to single target damage and for pusshing enemies away. As a result of neglecting it you ended up with no way to deal major to bosses. I still don't think you'd have made it for the full 30 minutes, but I think you'd have lasted till like 28-29 minutes if you had it.
They should add you now to the game.

Huh? I don't think I ever said the dev doesn't give the game enough attention. I did say that VS will be removed out of the "main game roaster" because I've done so many videos on it that I don't know what to do anymore, which was before the laboratory update and the DLC. Unless you mean a time waaaay before

inverse mode no move challenge with random level ups
It's impossible, you have to be very lucky with weapons and passive items. If this challenge is already difficult on its own, adding random weapons makes it a headache.
This video lasts 1 hour but it is not shown all the attempts to achieve it, surely he was 2 or 3 hours (or more).

After grabbing the bone, you went from 5 kills per second to 5 seconds per kill.
