This is awesome! I have a web site an already have a lot of traction there. This is so helpful about screenshots. I am still not clear on whether to link to the website or not? PDF is a great idea. What about short videos? I am building those for podcasters. What about Pinterest- can you build out on Pinterest for work?

Hi Lex! Great video. However when I uploaded the picture into Canva there was no Text button option on the left side in order to drop text on top of the picture. In your video it looks like the Text option button on the left side is automatically there, but it is not. Maybe they changed something?

Hi Lex! Thanks for the awesome video. I am new to Upwork and I am trying to complete my portfolio on Upwork but I do not yet have clients. I am a (native German) translator translating from English into German. You are suggesting to take a screenshot of a website of the kind of business I want to get into and then translate the copy and paste it all together. Isn't there copyright issues if you take screenshots of websites to complete for your (unpaid work) portfolio?

my availability is whited out, and to the right of it , it says off. Then it goes to badge, and it wont let me do anything because it says I am unavailable. I have no idea what is going on. Does that mean that my prospects will see that I am unavailable? I don't know what do do. thanks for your help. I have been applying for lots of jobs and have gotten nothing.

Do you ask your clients if it's okay to upload the work you've done for them to your portfolio? I have asked a few in the past and some of them preferred not to. A shame really!
Hey Francie, I don't ask. Asking creates an option of yes/no. That said, I only post portfolio pieces from clients I've had a good experience with. My creations are going on their public website, so it's public whether I share the info or not. If they ask me to remove something then I would do so.

How do you attach direct download pdfs to your portfolio pieces? I can't figure this out for the life of me. Best guess I have is that you're subscribe to some sort of custom url shortener service and then upload the custom link into the caption of the portfolio piece. If so, what service are you doing this with?
I use dropbox.
I added a profile intending to get into article writing and ended up creating a creative writing profile instead and added a fanfiction story as an example and a video book trailer I made. Not sure if this is going to help me or hurt me lol.
Only testing it will reveal the truth.

Sure, it's no problem if you use it on other sites. There's one issue you might run into if your bio is really long. People Per Hour limits how much you can write in your bio, so you'll have to shorten the length if you have a long bio. But you can use all the same portfolio pieces and things like that.
The Portfolio section appears to have changed. Instead of viewing 4 big images, its a much smaller carousel view of 3 at once. Can you confirm this has also changed for you?
It is 3 images on desktop and 4 images on mobile.

Hi Tasrina, I'm not sure what you are asking, but this sounds like it may be an issue for Upwork support.
Why I can't find a tutorial just showing how to add my designs, renders to Upwork's so awful portfolio page!!
